New Freedom is locatated in Southern York County, Pennsylvania.   A short drive up Interstate 83 from Baltimore, New Freedom is a small town that boasts lots of things to do!  As of the 2010 census, the borough had a population of 4,464. Once an industrial/railroad town, the community has evolved into a mostly residential town.  There are several great restaurants, trails for biking/running/walking and several community parks. Today I gathered my wife and children together and we went to the pumpkin patch. We were going to go south to Baltimore to a farm we have gone to several times before but we got off to a late start this afternoon. So we decided to try Swamp Fox Farms. Swamp Fox is a nice little farm that sits at the foot of the campus of Susquehannock High School on Country Club Road. What a great time. We started out by taking some photographs of the kids next to the barn with a large assortment of mums, pumpkins and straw bails. We then climbed on a wagon that took us on a hay ride up through the fields until we got to a huge field that was just covered with pumpkins that we could pick on our own.
