Let's talk about the Delaire Landing Gated Waterfront Condo Community. It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood, and the daffodils are blooming. Today, I saw my first Robin's red breast. Yes, spring is in the air. As the old saying goes, when March comes in like a lamb, it goes out like a Lion. We had temperatures in the high sixties and seventies, and the colder weather was returning. That is alright; as we know, the first day of spring is almost here. We will be patient as the colors spring up and start to color Delaire Landing.  Could we talk now about the Real Estate Condo Sales in Delaire Landing? Today, there are two active condo units for sale. Active: 1 BR, 1 Bath, 3rd-floor unit  806 SQ' price per SQ' $242.81 updated kit, open concept, high ceiling, laundry, balcony,  condo 7-...

During the pandemic, my state did not consider Real Estate an essential business. Therefore, Real Estate Offices were closed, and we could not show houses. Some agents tried to sell them virtually, but that was different from how to sell a house. People needed to walk inside and get a feeling. Plus, I felt that buyers would rush once the ban was lifted, and the prices would go up, and I was right. My sellers trusted me and waited. Meanwhile, I could not post on Active Rain for some strange reason. Then I heard wonderful, exciting news: A Zoom session would happen. Finally, I could communicate with my Active Rain family. It was so enlightening to see and speak to my dear friends. Best of all, we decided to meet again the following week.  Thus, the birth of Active Rain Weekly Zoom Session...

It’s mid-March and we’ve all sprung our clocks ahead for longer days and more sunshine. What better way to enjoy the additional sunlight than to get outside and explore? Although the Pocono Mountains offer year-round activities for the bravest of nature enthusiasts, many of us wait to emerge until the weather breaks for the season. With spring looming in front of us, it’s time to make lists of all of the great outdoors spaces to visit across the region in the coming warm months. One place to add to your must-see list while visiting the Poconos is the Thomas Darling Preserve in Monroe County, PA. Named for nearby Wilkes Barre native naturalist Thomas Darling Jr., this preserve boasts one of the biggest and healthiest spruce forests in the entire state. The Preserve features 2,500 acres of...

“Rivers know this: there is no hurry. We shall get there some day.”― A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-PoohA long, long time ago, it feels that way at least, I dug some holes in our yard and planted several tulip bulbs around our front walkway. Tulips need to be exposed to the cold  and have to overwinter in the ground, preferably planted in the fall.“The two hardest tests on the spiritual road are the patience to wait for the right moment and the courage not to be disappointed with what we encounter.”― Paulo Coelho, Veronika Decides to DieWell, then you have to wait, and wait, through the end of the fall, through winter, through the snow, the rain, cold winds. It doesn't help to stand over the spot and will them to grow. And you know that saying a watched kettle never boils, well they do but it f...

Casa Carmen,  on Old Baltimore Pike in Jennersville, West Grove PA, the winery and vineyard that is right behind our home in Big Elk community has at last begun their soft opening. Every Friday and Saturday from 4.00 to 8.00 pm they will be open. The winery had worked with Ryan Homes and offered all homeowners in Big Elk a complimentary glass of wine, distributing some tasting glasses at an event in the fall. Bring the glass along and your first glass of wine is free.We have been busy the last few weeks, but last night we visited the tasting room, built in the style of Spanish and South American tasting rooms to see how things were going. I have already purchased some of their vermouth which they also offer and used them in some cocktails at home. But chatting with one of the sons last ...

It’s March, and there is finally a light at the end of the long winter tunnel. Although the warm weather isn’t in full swing just yet, we are seeing glimpses of the changing seasons, most notably heard through the robins’ songs each morning. As we await the warmth and light of spring and summer across the Pocono Mountains, we can get glimpses of the season by attending some local events across the region.    Farmers markets are often signatures of summer when fresh local produce is at its most abundant. However, in Stroudsburg, PA, you can find the Monroe Farmers Market offering a brightness to its neighbors year round. Not only does the market provide traditional farmers market offerings, but it is also a hub for local vendors and events. Find local produce, honey, soaps, baked goods, ...

This morning when I pulled the curtains aside to see what was happening out near the bird feeders, there was a rather large white critter on the back fence. At first I thought is was a huddle of squirrels, but then realized it was a rather large possum! I have not seen them all winter. They are back in the area it seems.Other signs of the seasons changing…daffodils are just starting to open, hyacinths have just pushed through the soil, and today I saw the first forsythia flower. Crocuses and snow drops have been seen in many front lawns as I walk the neighborhood. And a few cherry blossoms are starting to open as well.Yesterday I saw a large rabbit in the neighbor’s yard. Now today seeing the possum, is a true sign of warmer weather to come.In regards to the possum being on top of the f...

About 12 years ago , my Daughter turned me ontosushi. And about 10 years ago Ginza Sushi opened inGreenfield . I like their Miso Soup and Vegetable Tempura and their Lunch Bento Boxes.        Pictured above is one of my favorite Takeout Rolls.2 Spicy Tuna , a Cali Roll, Philly Roll, a Spicy Salmon andof course 1-2 Spicy Mayo .  Ginza also does “All you can eat sushi “ when dining in . So if you are craving some really good Sushi, I’m recommending GINZA, 565 Greenfield Rd., Lancaster, PA ..  Arigatou

.  Much of my family hails  from Southern Chester Co.I also grew up in the Philly suburbs and went tonumerous Deli’s and enjoyed Hoagies & Cheesesteaks. But recently I rediscovered a hidden gem in a smalltown called West Grove . Brothers Pizzeria offers personalized meals that exceed it’s interesting menu.Pictured above is a Pizza Steak Sandwich. I have had one of these at as many as 30 restaurants. But after enjoying the above sandwich, I can assure you thatBrothers makes the best ! Two friends of mine Tim & Che are regular diners at Brothers and are thrilled with some of the Chef’s creations that have been cooked from scratch. Brothers is a BYO .Stop by soon .

Michael J. Perry sent me a message last week with a link to The Landenberg Store. As my wife had the day off on Friday we decided to go visit as it is only about twenty minutes away and the link looked interesting.Well this store is in Landenberg, obviously, right on the creek, and it was busy, we parked behind the store as the front was full, and when we went inside it was pretty busy. What had attracted us was the bread, which looked home baked, but, unfortunately is not, but still pretty good.It seemed to be a place where people stopped on their way home to pick up a sandwich or something else they had. As I mentioned the bread, we purchased some, a small baguette, nice and crusty and very good flavor; and a cranberry walnut loaf, which is very nice toasted with some honey on it with...

Well, early March gave us a beautiful spring like even a summer day feeling with warm temperatures that encouraged us to get out with our dog and then see where we ended up. Our initial plan after our walk at Nottingham Country Park was to drive to Maryland and pick up some Shrimp, but when we got there the place was closed. So, on our way home we saw that Wayvine Winery, which we have not visited yet had some live music. On arriving we saw it was pretty crowded with plenty of people sitting outside enjoying the weather. I sat with Jackie our dog whilst Annie went to investigate. Returning with a Dry Riesling and a Barbera Red, with a portion of Parmesan Arancini. Both the wines were good however, the arancini were a little oily.I went to walk around and took the photo above of the oak ...

We have been shopping for a mattress in the big stores, and now we are looking online at Amazon and all the other Internet sites. Some Big Box stores even promise to remove your old mattress. The warranties are exceptional; some even let you try them for almost a year. Many of these Bed in a Box require you to install the mattress onto the bed. I may have gone for it if I was younger, but at my age, sorry, it's not happening. I will say many of these Beds in a Box brands I saw in the big stores. I did have the opportunity to see them and try them out, which I was thankful for. Some of the brands were Purple and Nectar. Now, they might install the mattress for you. I did not ask. I was surprised to see how many Bed in a Box brands were available but were not shown as a Bed in a Box. They...
