If a resident committed suicide, do I have to tell the buyers?Suicide, Do I Have to Tell?Recently I received a text message from a former student: "When you know that someone committed suicide in a property are you legally obligated to tell someone that is looking at that home or apartment?  I couldn't  remember and I know that you will!! Summer at Presque Isle Bay Erie/PA Any day spent on or near the water is a good day.  Presque Isle Bay in Erie, PA is surrounded by the city of Erie and seven miles of sandy beaches on Presque Isle Peninsula.Summer in Erie is special because of our proximity to Lake Erie and Presque Isle Bay for water activities, walking, bird watching, sun bathing or quick lunch in car while people watching.Fall colors are a real treat.  Photos to follow in few months.Winter is for those more hardy types who will brave whatever Mother Nature sends our way.  Count me as one of Erie's hardy folks.    08/22/2015

Remembering DadAugust 11, 1921 - August 8, 2004 Dad, "Mary, I want to go home one more time."  This was Dad's request after ten days in ICU and now back at the assisted living facility in Erie, PA.  His home was 65 miles away.  Despite the challenges our family jumped through hoops & over obstacles to make arrangements for wheel chair transport to take Dad home 'one more time'.  Mother prepared all his favorite foods, family came from far & wide. Friends & neighbors stopped in after lunch onn August 7, 2004 to visit with Dad before the wheel chair transport vehicle arrived to pick up Dad. Dad, "Mary, I want to go home one more time." Home & family were so important to Dad who grew up during the Depression.  His parents divorced when my dad was young & he lived with his father, who had g... 08/07/2015

 Who's calling me on a holiday?Yes, I answer my phone on holiday weekends! Yes, I will answer your Real Estate questions.  Yes, I understand that your Real Estate manager may not answer phone calls on holiday weekends.  Yes, I remember you attended my Real Estate classes five years ago.  I might be shopping, having lunch with a friend or even just walking at Presque Isle State Park, but I will answer my phone.   And, yes both calls I received today were from Real Estate agents who could not get their own manager to answer the phones!!!   Having been a manager for fifteen years my agents were my clients.  If I did not answer their questions or provide guidance & support as needed I failed as a manager. Thank you, Mary.  I knew you would help me even though it's a holiday.    Happy July 4... 07/04/2015
