Adams County Apple Country is Budding for SpringOne of the best things about living here in the Apple Orchard country of Adams county Pa is the nice opportunity for walks in the sunshine enjoying the country side. This particular orchard is right across the street from my home. We take our dog for a daily walk in the orchard, just as much for him as for us. This time of year the mixture of sunshine and rain makes for some apple trees that are ready to produce and get the buds to bloom. Here in Adams County Pa there is an abundance of orchards, both Apple and Peach. Right here in the Cashtown Pa area is prime Apple and Peach orchard country.      It makes for a juicy and and sweet summer and fall. Cashtown Community Days ParadeCashtown Pa is small community just outside of Gettysburg Pa.It is home to about 100 homes ranging in architecture from a 1700's log cabin, to Victorians, to 50's & 60's construction, to new homes. The most prominent building in the community is the Cashtown Inn. Famous for it's Civil War contribution as well as the many ghost stories connected with it. The Inn today is a wonderful B&B as well as a fine restaurant. The Cashtown community celebrates the end of summer with a number of events occurring on Labor Day weekend. Starting with the parade, there is also a community potluck,  a community yard sale and more all taking place at the Cashtown Fire and Community hall.
