Cross Crusade Cyclocross Event on October 12th

Welcoming more than 3,000 competitors and spectators, River City Bicycles Cross Crusade held a cyclocross event at Villebois on October 12, 2008. The Cross Crusade course traversed the hills and construction zones in and around the new Villebois Village Center, with various categories of riders racing at different intervals throughout the day. The event started with the “Beginners” category at 9 a.m. and ended around 4 p.m. with the “Category A Men and Masters Category A 35+”. An increasingly popular sport amongst bicycle enthusiasts, a cyclocross race is typically comprised of several laps around a short course between 1.5 and 2 miles in length.
