Sunday Morning View From My Floating Home On the Columbia River After an full day of showing property on Saturday, I looked forward to heading to my floating home on the Columbia River to unwind and enjoy an evening with friends. One of the nice things about being in the Columbia Way West Moorage on Bridgeton Road is that I was able to miss all the traffic going over to Vancouver..love that. One of my fave things about owning a floating home is to wake in the morning, and just take in the view while I sip my coffee. I'm looking forward to the warmer weather where I can move outside as it was a burrrr of a chilly morning at 39 degrees so instead enjoyed it being all snuggled up inside. Life is good! Christmas Ship Parade On The Columbia River, Portland OR 2012(Video) I'm fortunate to own a floating home on the Columbia River in Portland, Oregon where the Christmas Ship Parade goes by a couple of times during the season. It was a perfect Portland evening to watch these gorgeous ships, listen to the cheers of appreciation as well as hear the holiday music playing from them. Talk about putting you in the holiday spirit! So, I took my camera and walked to the dock in front of my floating home to get the best view and took some video. Now...what I did  forget was that the  dock I was on would move with the small wakes when the ships went by and at one point I thought I was going in the river! They come by again next week...I hope the weather is just as perfect! I did have to smile when ...

Pink Skies On The Columbia River, Portland Oregon After battling the typical Friday afternoon traffic on I-205 from West Linn to our Floating home on the Columbia River, I was able to finally sit down and relax with a nice warm cup of coffee and enjoy the view of the Columbia River.Tonight the Christmas Ship Parade will be going right by home, so I'm excited. The traffic was worth it when I looked out the window and noticed the sky...an odd color that I haven't seen before..very pink. Of course I had my camera at the ready for the ships so I ran outside to capture this beautiful sky. I love the way the tree branches look..they have a beauty all their own Pink Skies, Nothing But Pink Skies..Smilin At Me Search For Your Portland Floating Home Here

Portland Oregon Floating Homes On The Columbia River The other night after showing my floating home listing on the Columbia River, I took the short walk to my own floating home. It was a perfect evening to sit on my deck, sipping a nice cup of fresh brewed coffee, while watching the goings on. It seemed to me like there were just lots more bird wildlife on the river...so most enjoyable! Owning a floating home can cost you a bit more in the way of interest rates and insurance and yes, you have to walk up and down the ramps to get to it...but ya know what? There is just something about being on the water...something about the sounds, the way the light dances over the water that sooths me. It's like looking into a huge fishtank...or watching the yule log. You can get lost in it! With the b...
