Now, most people when they see a rock they would walk right over it or if it was in their yard, they would try to figure out how to have it removed. But, this rock is different, this rock isn’t no ordinary rock! This rock was a survey marker from this property. Now, they didn’t have fancy satellites and other ways to do surveys in the 1800s, so they used natural landmarks and this was that landmark for the Baker cabin. The historical society kept everything as it was and didn’t change a thing, including the survey marker, which I think is really cool!

Now, I know they say too much butter isn’t good for you. But come on with a butter churn like this, there really is no other choice but to make to much butter or have a giant pancake feed. This butter turn was from the late 1800s and we found it while out Geocaching on Saturday. Now, back then I can’t really think why anyone would ever need a butter churn this big. Now, today I could see someone using this to create enough butter to create a six foot butter sculpture of Elvis for the state fair. But, my family no matter how they used the butter thought this giant antique butter churn was pretty darn cool! If you are in the Portland, Oregon area and you want to see this giant butter churn for yourself, shoot me an email and I'll send you the geo coordinates.

Nothing better for a kid than a park that has everything! Rivercrest Park in Oregon City, Oregon offers that and to be honest, I think even more! This park doesn’t look to big, but it has tennis courts, horseshoe pits, baseball diamonds, swings, playground equipment and best of all for kids… a lot of water! This is one of the best parks I’ve seen in awhile and have to say though it wasn’t close to our home, the kids want to come back, because they had so much fun at this wonderful park! Because it was a hot day, they ended up staying for close to an hour at this park and that is the longest I’ve seen them stay at any park and they easily could have stayed longer. So, if you’re in the Oregon City area on a warm day and looking for a place to take the kids. Then there is nothing better f...

Yes, I know it is un-PC to tell you that you have such a nice body, but take it for what it is, a compliment. Because your lines are beautiful, you are something that I desire and I want for myself. Who helped you? How much did it cost to get looking that way? Wow, is all I can say to all your hard work you put in to such a car. You see, I’ve been going to a lot of car shows lately looking for idea, help, inspiration so I too can have my 1951 Chevy DeLuxe join the ranks  of these beauties and people can ask me about my body and how nice it looks as well. It will take some work, but I’m looking forward to the day I can show it off.

Starbucks sells coffee, but Coffee Creek in Oregon City, Oregon of South End Rd gives me peace and a chance to bring my camera out. Now, this isn’t a place you can really stop, sit and enjoy the falls, but it does give those who live in the area and drive South End Rd every day something beautiful to look at when going to and from work.

Oregon City is one of the oldest cities in Oregon and many consider it to be the end of the Oregon trail, though many did end their journey here, there are still many miles to the Pacific Ocean. I do have to say with the beauty of the falls and the Oregon City area, I think I would have probably stopped here to have the very tough journey they all took to get here.

Our Portland home staging company gets contacted by many different types of potential clients.  Recently a Community Land Trust called to see if we would be interested in donating our home staging services for a new affordable housing development in our neighborhood that was targeted to families of moderate means.  We haven’t provided a complimentary full staging in the past, but this idea sounded interesting, so we met with the Executive Director at the property. We were happy to discover the wonderful vision of the Clackamas Community Land Trust which was to provide permanently affordable homeownership opportunities, to assist and educate people of low and modest income to become homeowners and to expand the inventory of permanently affordable, environmentally responsible homes. This...

Oregon City is located 13 miles South of Portland at the confluence of the Willamette and Clackamas Rivers, just south of the cities of West Linn and Gladstone, Oregon. Oregon City is the first incorporated city west of the Rockies. Established in 1829 by Dr. John McLoughlin as a lumber mill near Willamette Falls, it was later designated as Oregon's territorial capital. Visiting its many museums and historical buildings allows you a glimpse of pioneer life in Oregon territory. Estimated population in July 2008 was 31,404. Estimated median household income in 2008: $57,807 As of 4/19/10 there were 405 active, detached residential listings in the city of Oregon City, Oregon shown in the Regional Multiple Listing Service. I don't know if this will get me in hot water with ActiveRain, however, I am sure everyone is aware of the catastrophic earthquake which has hit Haiti near Port au Prince on Jan 12, 2010.  I am writing this to urge each and every one of us that even in tough times as ours, there will always be someone worse off then us. The people of Haiti needs our help right now. The Center for International Development's Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance has setup and donation link.  Read below: CIDI has established a dedicated page to coordinate Haiti support at:  http://www.cidi.org/incident/haiti-10a/ You can also text "HAITI" to "90999" and a donation of $10 will be given automatically to the Red Cross to help with relief efforts, charged to your cell phone bill. Yes, you read that right, 2010 is now.  Don't believe me?  Read on... Though it may be less than 2 weeks til Christmas, 2010 is already here from most of us.  Let me explain. While eating turkey during Thanksgiving, I was already thinking what will be needed to produce income for 2010.  It was then that started the yearly ritual of revamping my business plan.  I would start to adjust what was needed to produce the goals I would set.  It was basically a goal setting time for 2010. Most people will agree that if buying or selling a home is not an event, like going out buying a phone.  When the time comes, the phone no longer works, it breaks and you simply walk into the nearest (insert your phone carrier here) and you say, "Hi, my phone broke, what are my options.  Great, I would like tha...

The name of this park says it all! Tots Park is clearly aiming toward a certain audience and it is a big hit with the little ones. Now, one of the things I liked about this park as a parent was that it is small enough to keep an eye on my tots at all times.Another thing I liked about this park with kids is that we were 20 feet from the bathrooms. In a lot of parks the bathrooms seem to be so far away when a four year old says, "Daddy, I need to go potty" that you barely make it. Here, you can just send them over without having to get up. View Larger Map So if you have little ones and live in Oregon City, I suggest you check out Tots Park.BELOW YOU WILL FIND ALL THE HOMES FOR SALE IN OREGON CITY, OREGON

Ok, first thing I want to say about this park is, if you are out of shape in anyway, this is not the park for you. This park is full of paths that are steep and a hard climb, I was exhausted when I took just one of the paths and didn't even want to continue upward to see the rest of the park afterwards. The park is beautiful and has some mature fruit trees. However, I didn't see anything for kids in this park, but it sure does add to the cities charm and livability of the city. I also couldn't find any parking for this park, so you really do need to be within walking distance of the park to use it. Below is a panoramic from the middle section of the park.BELOW YOU WILL FIND ALL THE HOMES FOR SALE IN OREGON CITY, OREGON

Oregon City, Oregon has a few amazing facts about it. Many people consider it to be the end of the Oregon Trail. Many people set out west via wagon trains trying to get a fresh start at the time of the gold rush. Now another cool fact about Oregon City is that it is the oldest incorporated city west of the Mississippi. Now, what I like about Oregon City is there are really two parts to it. The lower part, really known as old town, where most of the businesses are, and then the upper part of Oregon City, where most houses were built in the mid 1800 and the early 1900s, I'm guessing to keep them from flooding when the river rose. But, there needed to be a way for pedestrians to get from the upper level to the lower level. In the mid 1860s stairs were installed and in 1915 an elevator opened...
