Fishhawk Lake If a Dog Could Be a Boat....this guy would be it!! Not only is he big enough to be a pontoon, but he sure wanted to float out and join us on ours, or at least boat along beside us! Too bad he's moored ashore. If he only knew that that tiny rope and bit of wood would never hold him back, but he's too polite to risk it. Is that the most "Can I come with you?" look or what?? This is one of two Great Danes who hold court full time at the first house ever established at Fishhawk Lake. While on  double back-to-back listing appointments, I ran across these two "locals", my Fishhawk Lake buddies, Fr. Rock and Bernie. I had stopped to take some spring afternoon photos of Fishhawk Lake in all its glory when these two happened along. We exchanged updated conversations about what all of us were doing at that moment and I suggested getting a photo of them over by the lake. They happily obliged.  They were taking a leisurely walk about the lake and both were carrying a couple of Fr. Rock's hand-hewn walking sticks. Fishhawk Lake Real Estate--Appraisers are Holding Up Sales!With the onslaught of real estate business in the Portland OR area going at a frenetic pace, appraisers are being completely overloaded with appraisal bids and they're turning them away left and right, according to a loan officer for Director's Mortgage whom I just spoke with. The average age of an appraiser right now is 58 and we are in desperate need of more, but can't find them because they need a 4 year degree and a variety of other experiences before becoming an official appraiser. So, these working appraisers are being bombarded. Outlying areas are not on the top of the list for many of these appraisers at this moment, because of the buying/selling frenzy going on in Portland, 90 minutes away from Fishhawk Lake. Fishhawk Lake Friday's Fotos-Time to Break Out the Canoes!The sun was so bright that it didn't offer really good clarity for this one, but I still had to share it. My friends and new full-timers at Fishhawk Lake, Rick and Julie just got their canoe and took their two dogs for a peaceful passage on a spring day in March!I was working with new buyers and they paddled by, so I raced over and took a couple of quick photos while they went by in the canal just next to the community lodge. Time to clean up the boats, get them off the shoreline and into the Fishhawk Lake waters! Spring has sprung!(Enjoy my spring canoe trip video).    04/01/2016
