Do you have an open mind when viewing a home?  Do you let the colour of the walls, or the harwood floors prevent you from loving what could be a perfect home for you? When viewing homes try to keep an open mind and concentrate on the important things such as room sizes and layout, DON'T focus on the paint COLOURS. Cosmetic changes are something that be done ver easily. Envision on how the room would look with your favourite paint on the walls, and your furniture . Ever walk into a home with your client and get hit with a strong odour of a scented plug-in or from cooking?   Several years ago it happened to me when I was looking for a very high end home for one of my clients, and by high end in the $1,000,000 price point.   I arranged several viewings, one of which was a large, executive and stately home, about 5,000 square feet. It was situated on a very large lot, backing onto a bautiful ravine setting .. and had great curb appeal. Three car garage !! However, upon entering the front door, we were immediately hit with the strong, pungent odour of curry.  Nothing wrong with curry but if you have your home for sale, and are cooking with it, be mindful to ventilate and deodorize your home for any potential showings... not everyone likes the smell of... 06/15/2014
