One of the factors that affect home ownership and home prices is the unemployment rate at 10.5% again, statistics are according to Reply!. I really enjoy living in Idabel in Southeast Oklahoma.  It's a great place to live. The best thing about it is the people and the real estate business brings me into contact with a lot of the local people. The Idabel community is very involved in it's people and vice versa.  It's a small town of about 7000 people.   Idabel is home to "The Warriors", the basketball and football teams of the Idabel school system. We are served by the Idabel Public School System for grades Pre-K through 12. The Kiamichi Technology Center and the E.T. Dunlap Center which is a satellite university for Southeastern Oklahoma State University serve the higher education needs for our area.
