In today's Oklahoman, I read an interesting article by Bryan Dean about the Housing Inspection Program in Del City.  It's a relatively new ordinance that requires the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy prior to a new tenant or homeowner moving into a home.  Without the Certificate of Occupancy the utilities will not be transferred to the new resident.I had not heard about this new ordinance prior to reading the article today.  So, I have researched a bit further and here is a bit more about the program;To obtain a Certificate of Occupancy in Del City an application must be submitted to the Community Services Department at 4517 SE 29 Monday through Friday between 8:00 and 5:00.  There is an application fee of $40.  An inspection will then be scheduled.  The inspector is going to chec... 02/15/2010

I haven't been able to visit AR the last few days, I have been without internet service.  But I am one of the lucky ones.  The majority of my tenants, friends and family have been without power since early Monday morning.There are trees and power lines broken all throughout Del City and Midwest City.I've had approx 8 properties that have the weatherheads pulled off of the back of the house.  My electrician is probably getting tired of hearing from me.  The electric company is saying it could be more than 10 days before the power is back up.  And the weathermen are predicting 3 - 6" of snow. Tammy Carpenter 12/12/2007

I am wanting to know what your traditional holiday dishes are.My grandmother used to make cornbread stuffing with sage in it.  When I say sage I mean it is almost green in color from the heavy sage.  My mother continued to make it after my grandmothers death.  She has sinced passed and I get requests from my nieces to make Mom's green stuffing. I'm not sure that my in-laws care for the coloring, but being the big eaters they are, it is usually finished off every holiday.Tammy Carpenter 11/18/2007
