I moved to Rocky River Ohio 10 years ago last month. I married a wonderful man who swept me off my feet along with my 6 children. We were looking for a community with excellent schools, nice neighborhoods, close to Lake Erie and only minutes from downtown Cleveland OH.  Rocky River OH fit the bill. The Rocky River school system is one of the top rated in the state. The neighborhoods are friendly and safe, giving you small town living close (15 minutes) to downtown Cleveland OH. There are also wonderful parks throughout Rocky River, including one that is right on Lake Erie. The Don Umerly Civic Center that I referred to in my previous post has many different options for recreation and "fun" exercise classes. We really love this town. I was feeling a bit of the winter blahs yesterday so I decided to check out the newly built addition to The Don Umerley Civic Center-Wow what great place it has turned out to be. The Indoor Pool is a great and beautiful state of the Art facility with many features for all ages to enjoy. There is a "sprayground" for the little ones, a fun water slide and even a lazy river feature. For those of you who think that swimming is for exercise there are dedicated lap lanes. When you finish and want to relax they have a whirpool spa. If all this swimming  gets you heated up you can cool down at the Ice Rink next building over to bring you back to winter reality.

                This is a old garbage holder. Most cities use to come into your backyard and actually pick up your garbage. One would simply lift the handle and place their garbage into this pit. This way the rodents and neighborhood dogs could`nt get to your garbage. I find these every now and again on my home inspections.  If you have one just get rid of the lid and back fill with dirt. Until recently, the scope of work performed in the inspection or evaluation of a fireplace, stove or other venting system was generally up to the discretion of the chimney service technician.
