It's not uncommon that when we first start working with a buyer the type of home we start looking at is a LONG way from where we end up!This week we helped buyers complete the purchase of a nice Mason home. No, we haven't switched from being real estate agents to specializing in tiny homes!  Sure there's demand for these affordable homes, but that's not what this morning was about!  No, it was time for the annual Build The Walls event at Christ's Church Mason this morning, and the weather was perfect!Overcast, not too hot, and the rain held off until after we were done.Today's mission?  Building the frames for 5 tiny homes!  Four were destined for Arkansas and the other for Kentucky.  These homes are all in the 500-700 sq ft size, and destined to help those in need.  They're affordable, and it's a help those who help themselves deal.  Each home requires some sweat equity from the recipients.  Seniors, homeless vets, etc., these are people that can use a helping hand and our congregation an...

Got an itch to help people have their own home?  Then grab your hammer and head to the annual Build The Walls event at Christ's Church Mason on May 5, 2018. It's really humanity at its best.  Tired of watching people fight on Facebook?  THIS is the antidote!  Hundreds of people gather together and in a matter of a few hours the walls for four homes will be built!  This year our church is teaming with CrossRoads Missions and Help Build Hope to help them build affordable homes in Arkansas.  Obviously, these homes won't be McMansions, but they're going to allow those in need to have a home.  This is one of those events that I block my real estate agent calendar for, so no showing homes that morning, no talking to sellers, no taking calls (besides, we'd never hear each other with all those ...
