Thomas The Tank Engine Visits Lebanon September 6-8 & 13-15 2013 We're late getting this post out of the train station!  Thomas The Tank Engine's annual visit to the Lebanon Mason & Monroe Railroad in historic downtown Lebanon is already on the tracks and you may have already seen Thomas!  You know the young fans are going to be floating on cloud 9 to see their favorite locomotive in person!  Featuring Thomas the Tank Engine and cars for a 25 minute ride on the rails?  What more could a kid ask for?? Lebanon Ohio Schools Requesting Tax Levy Renewal August 6 2013 Taxes.  We all hate 'em, don't we?  Well maybe except for the accountants and IRS.  But Tuesday the Lebanon Ohio School District is asking for your money.  Not MORE money, just the same money you've been giving them for years.  The request is for a RENEWAL and not a NEW tax.  It amounts to about $61 a year per $100,000 in home value, and again, voting for its approval will NOT increase your current taxes. This levy is restricted in use and can ONLY be used for improvements or purchase of permanent assets with at least a five year life (think building improvements, books, computers, etc.).  The levy is NOT for current operating expenses.
