A long hard day in the woods today, with a great photo from St Regis FallsA busy and moderately productive day today despite a late start due to a breakfast in town and some repairs to vehicles.It was nice to get a status report from our client letting us know that we are doing an excellent job and our accuracy is top notch.Hopefully the vehicles will work without any further problems, though I have doubts about how much longer my old trusty (until now) Yamaha ATV will last, there is a possibility it may be retiring in New York.A few days ago I spent a few minutes in a park in St Regis Falls, I highly recommend the water in the park and the scenery, but cell coverage leaves a lot to be desired.Enjoy the pic, and I will write a post about these falls this weekend with plenty of great pho...

Just as I was writing my last post about the fact that referral business is far superior to internet leads I got a call from John Murphy with a referral. He said that the person whom he sent to me left a message for me. I am not sure which phone she called. I don't recall receiving a call from her on my office phone and I am guilty of not checking my cell phone messages as much as I should.John gave me her phone number and I just gave her a call. She was inquiring for her son and daughter in law. Her son is at work bet very much wants to get qualified. She is going to have him call me as soon as he gets off of work. I wrote a blog yesterday (http://activerain.com/blogsview/287283/Do-you-want-to) about a loan that I've completed that the sellers will not close on. I spoke to the seller's attorney yesterday after I wrote the blog to find out what is going on.He told me that he really doesn't know. He said that the seller came into his office in the morning and kept going around in circles about why he could not close on the deal. His attorney told me that he was not making any sense. He says that the guy is living in an upstairs apartment in the garage and cannot move his stuff out till Jan.15th. I proposed that a short term lease be drawn up.The seller's attorney advised me that "if I were you, I wouldn't waste any more time on this." This to me is unbelievable.This is pretty disappointing. Well this person came back to me for financing after the deal fell through with the other lender who was dishonest with my client. My client came back to me and he said that "he should've never left me in the first place". He was crunched for time when he came back to me and he told me what his time constraints were. He was not sure whether or not I could do it for him and he wanted to know for sure before making a firm decision to do business with me. I completely understand why he'd want to make sure after being freshly burned. I am very excited right now! I have always had a dream of being able to purchase a home for my parents. My parents home is in terrible condition and has been since I can remember. They were looking for a small cottage in a wooded area with full amenities.
