My Mom's Last Hurrah................ No, she is fine. Friday was her birthday. She turned the big 69. Hard for me to believe that she is officially in her 70th year:   My Mom and her Sister                                                     My Brother and Mom       My Aunt and my Son      And there was cake! No birthday gathering is complete until you have cake. Mom wanted me to make a red velvet cake which I happily did. My Mom goes to the gym at least 5 days a week. That is 5 more than what I do. She watches my nephews 3 days a week and works nights 5 days a week. She's been through it all and still manages to have a great attitude. I love my Mom. The Beauty of Nature In West Babylon NY This time of year I love to photo nature. I put fresh seeds in our bird feeder last week. No birds, nothing. Until this morning......     In the tree below, I saw and heard a woodpecker. I didn't have time to adjust the aperture so I just shot and the sun was behind the tree. You can't see him but it makes for an interesting photo.   Even Mambo was hard at work this morning.......... In this photo, when you look to the left of Mambo, you will see he started weaving the leather string we gave him into the bottom of his cage........ And, the Morning Doves are back nesting in our tree. I will be certainly taking photos of them. She has been sitting in the nest since Monday and she is high up so that means there are eggs she is keeping warm! 03/27/2011

West Babylon NY Co-ops - Why Are There 2 Mortgages? Saturday I picked up my homeowner and off we went to meet the home inspector for the home they are buying. Yes, that went very well. No major problems! On our way there, they tell me that their attorney found 2 mortgages when she did the title search. They explained that when they refinanced for the interest rate, the old mortgage never came off. It looked like they have two mortgages! They refinanced many years ago too. They still have the documentation for this so when their bank who is giving them the mortgage asks about it, they will be able to furnish paperwork showing they have one mortgage.
