Lyme disease is caused by bacteria transmitted by the deer tick. Deer ticks are most active during the season from may to August when most people sepnd time out doors .Please be very cautious during this season when you and your kids spend time outdoors. Lyme disease can cause severe problems to our central nervous system ,heart , severe head aches, swelling and pains at joints. One of my friends was affected by Lyme disease recently which caused distortion on her face . once you are affected it takes weeks of strong antibiotics to cure lyme disease. Lyme disease can affect people of any age. So when you spend time this summer make sure that you wont get tick bites.
