This past weekend was in the 90s in New York city, we stayed in the city this weekend and decided to ventured out and do something we have not done in the past.  We walked down by the walkway path of Hudson River and came across a cruise boat that serves beverages and food on board and the boat does a small loop up the Hudson River.  The restuarant is called North River Lobster Company. (http://northriverlobsterco.com/), this is located at Pier 81, West 41st Street and West Side highway.Cruise boat now is moving upward now!  We liked it very much, it was almost like we were out of the city but we were just on a boat! This was a absolute fun event for anyone out of town or live in Manhattan that want to enjoy a good day in New York city.

I love New York, I love New York in all seasons... But I think my favorite season of all is the Summer time. There are weekend street fairs, concerts, Summer night events, outdoor yoga and just endless activities. Yesterday when I was walking down Broadway, I saw a New York city Police riding down Broadway with his horse, it just made me smile. And I had to stop and take a good photo!

Spotlight on the Flower District! The Flower District of Manhattan has existed for a century but has been whittled down by progress growing up around it. It encompasses a little more than a block of West 28th Street, between Avenue of the Americas and Seventh Avenue. But that small area is bursting with color and greenery! Aged green awnings and vintage signs peek out from the oasis, which blooms up in the middle of Manhattan. The block is lined with flowers and greenery in pots and mini trees, along with cut branches, vases and all sorts of florist bits and bobs for any project, large or small. While much of the business is still wholesale, it can’t hurt to walk in and see if you can do some business!  For information on exciting homes for sale in Manhattan, contact Robert DeFalco Real...

Spotlight on Historic Radio Row! New York City's Historic Radio Row existed from 1921 to 1966 in a warehouse district on the Lower West Side of Manhattan. “Radio Row” is the nickname given to a street or district specializing in the sale of radio and electronic equipment/parts. They existed in many major cities in the ‘20’s with the rise of broadcasting but declined in the 20th century.  In NYC, Radio Row was torn down in 1966 to make room for the World Trade Center. During it’s heyday, Radio Row was comprised of several blocks of electronics stores, with Cortlandt Street as its central axis.40 to 50 stories, all with radios blaring at full blast, with components and electronic bits spilling out onto the street – that was the zenith of Radio Row’s popularity. But World War II and the la...

Spotlight on Tribeca! Tribeca – shortened from Triangle Below Canal Street – is a hip, diverse, exciting neighborhood bounded by Canal Street, West Street, Broadway, and either Chambers or Vesey Streets. It’s home to artists, actors, business moguls and young professionals and of course, the Tribeca Film Festival. In the early 70’s, artists populated Tribeca, making use of new zoning laws, which meant they could live/work in the same space. Once of the center of textile and cotton trade, Tribeca residents began converting former industrial buildings – abandoned and inexpensive - into residential buildings and lofts, and lay the groundwork for the happening neighborhood it is today. Tribeca is a sought after neighborhood for home buyers; large living spaces  - from renovated industrial sp...

Spotlight on Historical Five Points! For seventy years, Five Points in Manhattan was an international symbol of poverty and unrest – but these days, the former Five Points is covered in part by large city, state and federal administration buildings and courthouses known collectively Civic Center, as well as Columbus Park, Collect Pond Park and Foley Square and various facilities of the New York City Department of Corrections around lower Centre Street. Interestingly, the corrections facilities provide the most historic touchstone to Five Points’ past; the infamous Tombs Prison, where many criminals were incarcerated and many executed, stood near the site of the current city prison.  In Chinatown – where the northeast neighborhoods of Five Points once stretched - many tenement buildings s...

Bringing Feng Shui Into Your Home Officeihomephoto.comIt is key to create clear boundaries of a work-life balance. Become diligent and discipline in creating work hours; not allowing distractions to settle in (FACEBOOK). Dedicate a room or space that anchors the energy of focus. Ideally, nothing but work related objects, arrangements, decor, etc is to be within that space. I have had clients who "share" the space with their children and it created a lack of production, not to mention taking up of valuable work storage space. The great news is that any room or even a space or nook can be transformed into a home office. The intention is to be able to turn the work energy off when you are all done.Home offices located to the front of your home promote good communication and connections wit...

Does Parking Spot comes with the apartment? This is a question that is asked often. In many parts of the country and world, it is very common to be able to purchase parking space since many drive to move from one point to the other, here in Manhattan, New Yorkers use mass transit to commute, subway, taxi cabs or car services to move around the city.Majority of the parking garages in New York are not for sale, they are on the monthly rental fee basis. The current going rate for monthly parking garage is about $500 per sedan, larger cars SUV, vans or trucks can be more per month. The monthly fee is also seasonal so it is a good idea to check with specific garage vendor. Location of the garage is also a determine factor of how much your fee will be.For those who would like to own their priv...
