Last month, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama visited One World Trade to take a private tour to see the progress of construction.  It was their first visit since the 10th anniversary of 9/11. They were welcomed on Flag Day, June 14, by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Port Authority Chairman David Samson and REBNY (Real Estate Board of New York) members. In honor of Flag Day, the Port Authority flew the largest free-flowing flag in the country from the side of One World Trade Center. While on site, the President, the First Lady, Governors Cuomo and Christie and Mayor Bloomberg signed a steel beam that is part of the building’s superstructure. Office Space - Herald Square, NYC No, it’s not Times Square, but it is an intersection on Broadway that New York visitors might want to put on their checklist. Herald Square is on the intersection of Broadway and 34th Street but the views are not limited there – in fact, the Empire State Building looms no more than a block away. Though HS has been popular for some time – it was mentioned in “Give My Regards to Broadway” some one hundred years ago – it is today well-known for its presence in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, which is watched around the country annually. Office Space - Herald Square, NYC Office Space - Herald Square, NYC     HS could also be considered somewhat of a “twin” to the nearby Greeley Square, where a triangular park rests between West 33rd and West 32nd Stree...

Office Space - Lower West Side, NYC The Lower West Side is now known as Tribeca. The name Tribeca stands for “Triangle Below Canal Street”.Tribeca encompasses the area south of Canal Street, between Broadway and West Street, continuing south to Chambers Street. The once dominant industrial base vanished by the 1960’s leaving behind large amounts of empty commercial space. This empty space attracted artists and a large scale conversion of the space into upscale residential homes. It is one of America’s most fashionable and desirable neighborhoods, well known for its celebrity residents. Some of it’s well known residents have included  the likes of Billy Crystal, Derek Jeter, Gwyneth Paltrow, Robert DeNiro and both Caroline Kennedy and her late brother John Kennedy Jr.Robert DeNiro along wit...

Office Space - Midtown South, NYC Mid-South is one of the more popular tourist locations in Midtown Manhattan. Here, throngs of tourists mingle with busy office-workers; berms and track shoes are seen as often as ironed dress pants and leather shoes. Mid-South has the honor of harboring the most iconic building in New York’s skyline: the Empire State Building. This 102-story cultural landmark stands at a whopping 1,454 ft., and its unique Art Deco style drew the admiration of many architects. All other skyscrapers beside it seem plain beside this majestic work of art – it has been declared by the American Society of Civil Engineers as one of the “Seven Wonders of the Modern World”.
