Canalway Communities to Share $1.5M in State Grants Full story: Oneida County Courier Communities across Upstate New York will share $1.5 million in Canal Corporation funding for improvements along the New York State Canal system as part of Governor's 2011 Regional Economic Development Council Initiative. The Canal Corporation awards are: • $74,992.50 to the Village of Spencerport (Monroe County) toward construction of a new heritage trail and park, which will complement existing canalside improvements and add space for additional festival vendors. It's time to take a look at what happened in the housing market this past week in the eastern suburbs of Rochester, NY, including Brighton, Pittsford, East Irondequoit, Webster, Penfield, and Perinton/Fairport. Seventeen listings went under contract this past week. One received a contingent offer and is still being shown, four received offers and are no longer being shown, and twelve went pending, which usually means all their contingencies have been removed. Two of these properties were listed by RealtyUSA, a ranch in Brighton for $149,500 and a cape cod in Perinton needing major rehab for $13,000.
