Life With Wee People: Wee Fit Frolic with any energetic kids lately? Chasing wee people can really give you a run for your money. Rather than give 'em the evil eye while trying to make them sit down and be quiet, how about put your busy schedule on hold, pause what ever it is you are doing and get down on the floor for some fitness playtime. If you watch the miniature loves of your life closely you may discover they have no idea that they are doing Yoga, Planking, Gymnastics and a host of other practices while moving their wee bodies into position to continue their play. As a matter of fact, some of you readers may be just as clueless as your kids because no one thinks about what comes naturally to them (i.e. unless something interrupts your breath most people simply take for granted t...

Life With Wee People: Kim Harrison CartoonsIt's been a while since I planted one of these in the Kim-Stream so I'm gonna hang out on the bed with the kids and draw a bunch of cartoons. We're doing Tamwood and Morgan tonight. I'm hoping for a quiet evening where I get bossed around by my 5 and 10 year olds (LOL). The best sketch gets to go to Deviant Art so I have to at least draw ten of 'em. Will give you guys a sneak peek tomorrow... if they survive the wee people... they have crayons ( we're sharing a sketch pad - LOL). ;-)P.S. Composed something really cool for a fave writer. I'm trying to figure out the graphics for the next book club review. We are soooo talking about A Perfect Blood when I get finished playing with my pens and electronic drums (evil grin). ;-)

Club Chaos Eye Candy: Briarwood, Queens County, New York Tour of Homes It's a gorgeous day to play and I've been having mad fun running the streets with my Nikon and Droid collecting eye candy during my turtle run. Sometimes I hang out with my elderly neighbors at Hoover Park when I do my warm ups. We shared ruby red grapefruits (3 for $2 at the neighborhood fruit stand) and bottled water. I love living in this neighborhood. The Zagat rated restaurants are simply amazing, the houses gorgeous and list of things to do with the wee people pretty extensive. Wanna see some of what I saw today? Welcome to my neighborhood... ;-) Yes, I did run up the hill past the court house into Kew Gardens and will show you that bit of real estate jogging fun later. I have to get back to my park post. Peo...

http://www.armatosvideo.com This firm has a wonderful reputation with the camera crews I've spoken to. It was suggested we visit and establish a business relationship with them because their reputation is built "on serving the professional industry for over 35 years, with sales, service, support, custom modifications and system design. Our knowledgeable sales staff is here to offer advice to help customize a package to suit your needs. Along with these services we also accept trade-ins, do training and installations and accept City, State, and Government BIDS." I love my creative tweetpeeps because if you need advice they are only a direct message or quick text away. Yesterday's pre-production meeting took place in Manhattan at the Hard Rock cafe. Our AVCHD camera of choice for the str...

Paralegal 101: Landlord Tenant Series - Hot Water Warranty of Habitability issues may include (a) repairs, (b) clean premises complaints, (c) lack of hot water and/or (d) lack of heating. Here is an interesting bit of trivia: Did you know that if a multiple dwelling building was constructed in New York before mid April 1929 that did not require hot water to be furnished at the time of its original construction a landlord able to prove this would not be under the mandatory requirement to supply hot water 24 hours a day? Hmm... Those base dates mentioned in my previous post are starting to get your attention, eh? Seems every regulation has a start date... New York tenants actually have a statutory right to hot water, so when exemptions come up people need to be reasonable and pay attenti...

When any such condition has been caused by the misconduct of the tenant or lessee or persons under his direction or control, it shall not constitute a breach of suc...

Life With Wee People: C Pulse Taking the emotional pulse of a learning disabled child can be tricky, especially if you have two of them. Mr Autism, Noah, the Net Geek is a tough act to follow and Mr. PDD-NOS, Stephen, the Minion Blur is a book unto himself. They both like music. They both like electronics. When Stephen is not engaged in their ritualistic sacrifice sometimes he manipulates them quite well. I promised them they could edit a song and drag and drop the video images into the time-line. They had fun mutilating this one and picking out lots of pictures. Nine horn and guitar tracks bit the dust. So did the vocals. I would have been happy with a few more deletes and additions regarding an improvement to their version of grove and quantize but a promise is a promise. After all...

This was fun. The wee people were a trip dragging and dropping files with me. Seems they like the visual time line even if they can't read (LOL). Will it be useful? Hmm... Maybe... I have five more of these to do so lets see if I improve as we go along. Someone asked me to do a stick figure animation for a non-profit. My kids are going to love our next multimedia project. They can hang with squiggly lines and stick figures. Come to think of it so can I (LOL). ;-)   .

CyberMinions.net The Illustrated Dictionary of Chaos Laraine Shape     Michelle Viggiano     Carolyn Tann-Starr Club Chaos Agents.com    Outside Blog Minion Report   Chaos (derived from the Ancient Greek Χάος, Chaos) may be described as "a state lacking order or predictability." Wikipedia First "Chaos Theory" Quote of the Day: "In mathematics, Chaos Theory describes the behavior of certain dynamical systems...  systems whose states evolve with time, that may exhibit dynamics that are highly sensitive to initial conditions (popularly referred to as the butterfly effect). As a result of this sensitivity, which manifests itself as an exponential growth of perturbations in the initial conditions, the behavior of chaotic systems appears to be random. This happens even though these systems...

CyberMinions.net The Illustrated Dictionary of Chaos Laraine Shape   Michelle Viggiano   Carolyn Tann-Starr Club Chaos Agents.com   Outside Blog Minion Report   So here I am seated at my drafting table watching my seven year old typing frantically into Google. Every so often he would stop, look over his shoulder at me with an evil look, then furtively start typing again, alternating looking at the keyboard and screen. Now, you gotta admit that alone is enough to make this cheeky Mama want to go over there and check my shortie out but he's seven, speech delayed and obsessed with computers so I try not to interrupt his allotted time. The kid is a stickler about his routines. I do not want to ruin any fun for my son because discovering search engines gave him the incentive to memorize si...

Everyone who knows me is aware of the fact that I am a huge Donald Trump fan. I like the Trump University website and find them very interesting because of their think and do approach to investing. Today they have me wondering what type of investor I am...  When you are working with scaled down resources you have to stop what it is you think you are doing long enough to figure this out. It's a huge mistake not to. Seriously. Warren Buffet figured it out. If it's good enough for Warren and Donald then my premise is that one may no longer assume the information isn't useful because he or she is not flinging millions at a project. If an astute Realtor figures it out before you do you may find yourself off on an adventure you did not anticipate. Depending upon the professional you retain, t...

http://blogs.zdnet.com/hardware/?p=4349&tag=nl.e550 This quote got me thinking about my ADA clients and my learning disabled kids: "We know that there exists a kill-switch for the text-to-speech feature that allows publishers to disable the feature for specific titles. While this feature protects the publisher’s ability to control how content is distributed, it sucks for people who really wanted this feature. If there’s one kill-switch, it’s likely that Amazon, and publishers, have other kill-switches at their disposal. Personally, I’d be uncomfortable with so many players having the ability to remotely tinker with my Kindle." I was actually considering getting one for the boys to help teach them how to read. My kids are computer crazy so I thought this might make a very useful gift. Th...

Spring is here and I'm doing a lot of running around with my friends and clients. Gotta go show some homes and do another open house at one of my listings. I shall be filming in Parkway Village today. Things have changed over there so I want to go see how the flower beds are coming along. The neighbors are always planting something, that's why I like to jog there. They have lots of nice places to play for the kids as well. Ooo. It's lunchtime! I've got to get my foodie paradise spot on and distribute some RSVP open house fliers. :-) BTW, this is a 2 Bedroom Co-Op; Attached; Unit Floor #1; Development: Parkway Village Model: Garden Apt; 5.0 rooms, 2 Bedrooms , 1 Full Bath, School Community District 28, Year Built: 1946, Construction: Brick. A re-blog is limited permission to syndicate a post on the platform of the writer's choice. In this case, Active Rain allows the syndication to the main dashboard where one can send the work to (1) 5 groups, (2) team blogs and (3) the outside blog. Re-blogs on ActiveRain can not go to Localism. If the work shows up anywhere other than where the original writer gives it limited permission to be (e.g. on AR) then it is a copyright violation because no one can cut and paste another members work. A re-blog is not permission to cut and paste. A re-blog is not permission to swipe photographs, videos or artwork. One can not disassemble a post because one sees a re-blog button on the right hand corner. When a re-blog takes place there is an automatic embed back to the original writer's post gen...

http://www.narec.com/ Here's a curious little site that caught my attention that you guys may find interesting. Here's the quote that made me poke around for a while: "The National Association of Real Estate Consultants® was founded in 1999 to assist real estate professionals in re-framing their focus as real estate consultants to better meet the needs of today's savvy consumer." What does that mean? I'm still trying to figure it all out but they seem a pretty positive group. They state they have "consumer-focused training tools like the Consumer-Certified Real Estate Consultant® (C-CREC®) designation..." Hmm... I only want a CCIM but I may continue to toy with the idea if it turns out to be useful. What is a CCIM? You can red all about that here. :-) Why do I want a CCIM? Check this qu...

We've just set up the UStream.com Channel for the Outside Blog Minion Report so we can stream Laugh Lunch live from where ever we are and anyone with a social media account can participate. The link to watch and participate in our pending chat room is here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/outside-blog-minion-report We haven't created our first show yet because we're still poking around looking for a place to gather, chat and eat in NJ. The cool thing is when we start doing the ClubChaosAgents.com podcasts and interviews we'll be able to record and stream them live and you can chat with us (and/or ask questions which may actually be answered pretty quickly) in our chat stream, which will be running live to the right side of the Club Chaos, Outside Blog Minion Report, Trump University guest...

The Outside Blog Minion Report Saturday, February 28, 2009 Club Chaos Product Review Carolyn Tann-Starr on Alesis TannStarr.com     ClubChaosAgents.com    ActiveRain Group: Club Chaos     IDJ Now   New Toys For My Anniversary (YAY!) I brought my system at IDJ Now. I've been saying "new toys" for days. :-) I finally used my gift money and picked up a portable podcast set-up for my Sony Laptop. What a neat package. I'm in love with Alesis. I have always loved this company. My drum machine is a 1997 Alesis SR-16 which I'm still having a lot of fun with and have introduced my children to. I also have a thing for Roland, HP, Apple, Nikon, Sony and Korg. I figure I might as well fess up now and get it over with. If you're going to be biased you might as well be transparent about it. :-) The ...

I have to go show my listing later and was contemplating taking Winter pictures of it. I must admit I like the Fall photographs so much better because it is truly a gorgeous neighborhood. It is a little bit gray outside today, so maybe I'll take more pictures tomorrow or on a sunny day. I am so looking forward to Spring. :-) BTW, this is a 2 Bedroom Co-Op, Attached, Unit Floor #1, Development: Parkway Village Model: Garden Apt, 5.0 rooms, 2 Bedrooms , 1 Full Bath, School Community District 28, Year Built: 1946, Construction: Brick. If you make an appointment to show your home to a potential buyer, don't smoke. If you make an appointment to show your home to a potential buyer, please do not smoke. Why am I repeating myself? Because I could have sold a beautiful home that was priced right and had approximately $23K of equity available. Only problem is the sellers smoke and they tried to hide the smell by burning scented candles instead of opening the windows to air it out. The scented candles were tainted by the smell of the aforementioned cigarette smoke, so the home wound up smelling funky and stuffy instead of pleasant. It was a lovely home. It had plenty of storage. Lots of nice original features... They even did tasteful upgrades. The sellers have nice neighbors and we learned quite a bit about them during our ...

VideoAd by Mixpo The interesting thing about letting the little minions run a-muck in the Photoshop files is that I never know which folder they are going to select or which picture is going to capture their attention. I let my 2 and 7 year old take turns selecting files and photographs and I have to say I am very surprised Sponge-bob and Elmo did not make the cut (LOL). This is what happens when you convince your kids they are Mini-Realtors in training... The wordless year in review by Stephen the Minion Blur and Mr. Noah.
