Biggest Little Storefront in Reno Contest In a continuing effort to build up the retail presence in downtown Reno, UNR's Krysta Jackson decided to create a contest where burgeoning business people could be given a helping hand.  She wanted to encourage entrepreneurship in the downtown Reno area.  After she saw how successful a similar idea was in Sacramento, she decided that the Biggest Little Storefront in Reno Contest was the perfect way to infuse new life into the downtown area. Reno Rockabilly Riot 2014 What is "Rockabilly"?  A mash-up of the words "Hillbilly" and "Rock 'N Roll", the Rockabilly movement dates back to 1950s America and has enjoyed a run here in Reno for quite a while.  Musical influences of Rockabilly include folk, bluegrass, country, rhythm and blues, boogie woogie and, of course, classic rock 'n roll.  All in all, its just a group of guys and gals who look back at a simpler time when fun was fun, Elvis was King and hot rods ruled the road.  You can be a part of the celebration by visiting the Reno Rockabilly Riot 2014 this weekend at The Nugget in Reno.
