Being a Simpson fan, I had to go to the 7-11 that had been converted to the Kwik-E-Mart from the telelvision show. I went to the 7-11 website to locate the one in Henderson and counldn't believe it was up the street from my office.So Monday afternoon I ran up to it before lunch to see what it looked like. It's official!  Ground has been broken, signs are up.  It seems like it happened overnight, but I know that is not true.  We are getting a major shopping and office center on 74 acres at Lake Mead Parkway and Water Street in Henderson.  It will include large anchor tenants (can you say Target???), I personally am a Target lover, along with other small retailers and businesses.  Signs say PetsMart is also part of it.  It is going to be called Lake Mead Crossing.All the while Centex is planning to build a Masterplanned community on 2,200 acres adjacent to the project.                               My title says...introduction.  There is a reason for that.  I am going to take you from beginning to end.  Tomorrow's post will have pictures of the beginning stages.  Planned for opening up som...

With pet ownership at an all time high, the availability of high density housing for pet owners has not been keeping pace. Some developers are taking note and I'm glad to say that Vantage is one of them.
