Our 10th Anniversary January 30th, 2011 Looking back at our beginnings on January 29, 2001, it seems like such a long time ago.  We opened our Wildwood Crest real estate office that day.  We didn't know what to expect.  We had no idea if our "Modern Technology, Old-Fashioned Service" philosophy would work.  Would people even care?  Could we compete with the chain franchises in a decidedly down market? Optimism on the Horizon, Part II Back on December 18, 2010, about 4 1/2 weeks ago, we wrote on this blogsite about our optimistic outlook on the local vacation home real estate market here at the shore in Cape May County, New Jersey.  We talked about expanding our business, but purposely left you in the dark about how it would be accomplished.  Well, here it is. Well, here we are at the end of another great summer at the shore.  This weekend is the last hurrah for many people.  The town will almost seem like a ghost town when everyone leaves.  But, come the weekend, the town becomes alive again.  Next weekend, we'll be entertained by the Mummers.  It's great fun to sit on the curb and watch the bands go by.  It brings back many childhood memories of going to Broad Street in Philadelphia and watching the Mummers do their stuff.  A few of my family members took part in the old days, and I have a cousin who still does every year.  When my grandmother was alive, we'd watch the parade for awhile then eat of bowl of hot soup at Grandma's to warm up.  Lots of happy memories.Anyway, as I was saying, September is a fun time in the Wildwoods.  The weeken... 08/30/2007

I just read in this morning's paper that the Lower Township Planning Board approved another 62  condos for the Grand Resort and Spa project in Diamond Beach.  The first phase includes 125 units selling for $1 million dollars to $4 million dollars.  The new units will be further from the ocean and will be called Grand West.  They will sell for $500,000 to $700,000.  The third phase of the project will include rplacing Pier 6600 Motor Inn.  The entire project is expected to take 10 years.  Lower Township will benefit from approximately $5 million dollars in taxes per year with almost no school children using the Township school system.  Local officials are extremely happy with this news and hope to bring some tax relief to the local people.Now, I don't know about you, but I've heard that ... 07/24/2007

There is a geographic oddity involving where Diamond Beach is actually located.   Is it Wildwood Crest?Actually,.....No!Diamond Beach is really part of Lower Township.  As you head north on Ocean Drive after you reach the end of the Garden State Parkway, you cross a toll bridge to get from Lower Township into what appears to be Wildwood Crest.  However, you are actually still in Lower Township for about another mile. Once you cross Rochester Avenue, you are in Wildwood Crest.  One would assume that the toll bridge separates the 2 areas, but that is not the case.Diamond Beach is a beautiful area which boasts many wonderful second homes and investment properties.  Seapointe Village, which is a sprawling development is located here.  Also, The Grand at Diamond Beach is under development.  ... 03/17/2007
