This Friday was like most in that I started out expecting it to be slow and hoping to leave the office early.  I started by extending 6 listings in my 2 MLS systems  and filing the paperwork with my local MLS. Then the fun rreally began.  Apparently PSE&G has "improved" their phone system.  Instead of waiting 5 minutes on hold to speak with a live individual, I waited 40.  Oh well, it gave me a chance to listedn to some Jimmy Buffett tunes on my laptop and dream about my upcoming vacation. After PSE&G assured me they would be sending out the refund check and terminating service to a property, I was ready to move on to the next task at hand.  I gathered the invoices that had accumulated over the last three days and sent them to our corporate office for payment and reimbursement. 3 Files ... 05/06/2011

A few months ago I was sitting at my desk catching up on some marketing mailers when I hear another agent call my name.  She has been in the business 20+ years and had just received a call at the "up desk". The woman calling was interested foreclosure property a few blocks from the office.  The agent didn't want to deal with the client for two reasons: 1- She "does not do forclosures"  2- The client was st the property and wanted to see it right away 3- The caller did not "sound" like it was worth it.  I knew what was coming next.  The other agent said "do you want this one"?  Do you know when you get that feeling that something is just right and you should move right away?  I had that feeling and ran out the door to meet the client.  On the way to show the property I was thinking how p... 05/05/2011

    I met a gentleman yesterday, and our conversation, at least his side, went something like this:    "My current home has been listed for 120 days, with an agent.  We have had about 6 private showings, and dozens of open houses with ZERO traffic and zero offers. My agent says that all the other agents are experiencing the same thing.  My home is unique in the area, so comparables are difficult.
