Our motto for our South Amboy office is: In town Involved Informed We don't just talk it. We do it! For years RE/MAX Best has been a special part of the Tree Lighting Event in South Amboy. Each year Bruce and Lee Parker provide a visit by Santa Claus. The cheers and glee that Santa hears as he walks down the Town Hall Steps are out of this world. Santa then sits and lets all the kids (of all ages) stop by and whisper their holiday requests in his ear. Photos of the visits with Santa are available at our RE/MAX Best office at 137S Broadway. Stop by and say hello.

The motto of our South Amboy office is: Intown Involved Informed We take this very seriously.  There are many Real Estate Agents that just tell you how much they sell. We try to show everyone how much we care. A great example is the Holiday Party at the Shoregate Senior Building. RE/MAX Best provided the center pieces and we used our connections to get Santa to attend. Our office has sponsered many such events and we are happy to do it. We have a toy drive collection site in all three of our offices and urge people to drop off a new unwrapped toy. By the way, Santa has a few more stops to make this season, but if you need him please call. We just might be able to get you in.

Do you think your real estate taxes are high? Watch for my class in January on how to appeal your taxes. Remember only the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Towns like South Amboy are ripe for appeals since prices have dropped so sharp. The winow of opportunity for the appeal is January 1 to March 30. Savings that I may be able to help you get will last for a long time.

After the New Year I have this great new listing that will be on the market.  It is a newly update 2 bedroom,2 full bath home.  EVERYTHING HAS BEEN COMPLETELY REMODELED! The builder truly took there time and made wonderful choices during the remodel of this fine South Amboy home.    Keep your eyes peeled, because once it gets on the market, it will probably be gone!

Hi,   I just thought I would throw this up on the South Amboy blog.  Does anyone remember Bruce the DJ from the Rollermagic rollerskating rink days?  He was always so cool to the kids and always took your requests.  Those were the days, putting on your skates, taking a few falls, eating pizza in the caf

I would like to know if anyone has any idea what the names of the different sections of South Amboy are called.  Some of the local historians have told me a lot of the old names, but before I give them out, I'd like to test your knowledge about our great town.  Take a look at the map that I have included below. I have numbered each section.  If you know the name of a section just comment back the number and the name. Good luck!

I have been doing some investigating in to the Localism.com side of this website and I am noticing that Middlesex County isn't popping up under the popular county section of the website. I had searched the localism side before and I know for a fact it was there a few weeks ago. What is the reason for this? Is it because that there wasn't enough Activerain activity on the Middlesex county portion on Localism so it kind of gets pushed lower to the bottom?   I hope someone can explain this to me.   Thanks,   Ryan T.

My family and I just got back from the South Amboy Christmas tree lighting ceremony. What a nice event! There must've been about 400 people there! The town was giving away free hot chocolate and coffee and there was a dj playing Christmas music as well. The local boy scout troops were there singing Christmas carols. One of the highlights of the evening was the many firetrucks that were lit up like Christmas trees! Every year the local fire departments compete for the best dressed firetruck! I believe Ted Huff's firehouse won the contest this year! Way to go guys! Then of course my kids were all beaming when the Christmas tree in front of city hall was lit up and Santa paid a visit. It was really a nice time! It's nice to see that there are still towns out there that can give you a nice ...

Hi All,   I just thought some of the homebuyers out there should know that the rates came down.  the average rates on a 30-year fixed rate mortgage fell to 5.97% down from 6.33%. There are some rates as low as 5.25%! The Federal Reserve should be given the credit for this drop because of their announcement to purchase Fannie and Freddies securities.  If you need any more information please contact me.   Sincerely,   Ryan Tooker Sales Associate Century 21 Charles Smith Agency Office (732) 721-9000 Ext.244

Welcometo my blog. This is my first. Not bad for a guy that used to have a sliderule. Remeber those days before calculators? I am a South Amboy resident and I love this place. I enjoy walking to the stores downtown and my wife enjoys walking to the NYC Train for her trips to the city. The fall is my favoirte time. The bay smells fresh the air is clear and everyone seems to be smiling on Broadway.

Did you know that NJ was number nine in the nation in the rate of forecloseures? I attend the Sheriff Sale for Middlesex and for Monmouth County on a regular basis. It is an interesting experience to say the least. All Real Estate Agents should attend at least once, but many have never attended. In Middlesex County the sale is held on Wednesday. In Monmouth County the Sale is Monday. Call me sometime if you would like to attend.
