Well I have completed the 3 days of training and passage of the 2 exams required to have the National Association of Realtors (NAR) give me the "green light" to call myself a "GREEN" Realtor.  Now I am anxiously awaiting the NAR Green Designation Member Kit which should arrive in 3-4 weeks.  The Green REsource Council of NAR provides oversight re this designation as well as provides the tools to help the "GREEN" team become suitable ambassadors of the movement toward sustainable homes and communities.  Next steps - contribute to a better quality of life for future generations. 04/23/2009

Today a co-worker / co-agent asked me if I like working with a team better than being alone.  This caused me to thing a bit and I had to ask the following questions to the agent: Why do you ask the question? Are you thinking of joining a team? Would you like to join my team? What advantages do you think being on a team affords that working alone does not? Same question but vice-versa! The Princeton Governors Mansion, Drumthwacket, is open for Visitors in December. Reservations are required and filling up quickly.  You can visit the web site at www.drumthwacket.org or call 609-683-0057 for reservations. This yhears theme is Peace on Darth.  The mansion is decorated by New Jersey's finest garden clubs including Hunterdon HIlls. Visitors can stroll thru the mansion at their own pace and it will be decorated with natural garden materials.  I am especially interested in seeing this since I have decorated my home in mostly natural materials this season. The other evening we took a drive thru Palmer Square in Princeton, NJ. It is absolutely beautiful.  You have to excuse my non photo of the tree, I did not have my camera with me.  The tree is lit with beautiful colors, all of the shoppes are tastefully decorated,  There are wreaths everywhere and it is a wonderful sight to behold. Sunday, was a blustery low 40 degree day in Central New Jersey.  Saturday had been a warm and sunny 70. No, I am not a weather commentator, just a "Returning Jersey Girl" taking in the wonder of an early winter day after spending last winter in sunny Naples Florida. Saw a bumper sticker there once it said "Jersey Girls don't pump Gas" My blood is slowly thickening to the cooler Jersey weather, especially after the early snowfall in mid October. Yesterday was a farm day reminiscent of past farm days in Central New Jersey from prior years.   I spent most of the day and evening outside.  I did some raking and mucking and laid down straw for the animals.  Quality time with the horses feeding them carrots and doing some other chores before cleaning up to go out to one of my favorite restaura... 11/17/2008

A recent stroll down Library Place, Princeton Borough, camera in hand snapping photos of the beautiful homes with their individual architecture and leaded glass windows lead me to search tax records in our Trend MLS to see what has sold on this street of 31 houses. On February 29, 2008 one property on Library Place sold for $3,100,000.  The property had been in the same family for generations and featured five fireplaces and an elevator. Prior to that in August of 2007 a similar property sold for $3,250,000. Needless to say, properties in this elete area of town do not come on the market often. When I think of Witherspoon Street in Princeton Borough, I immediately think of Princeton Medical Center. I did not realize that there was a real life John Witherspoon until I took a tour of the Princeton University Campus. John Witherspoon was one of the signers of the Declaration of Indenpendence along with a being the sixth President of Princeton and from 1786 to 1782 a leading member of the Continental Congress. Originally from Scotland where he was an ordained minister he came to Philadelphia in August of 1776 and then moved to Princeton. Central New Jersey, Mercer County is rich in history and our founding fathers contributed to making this country what it is today. This Princeton real estate housing market report may be the only report with some good news amid the financial crisis engulfing the country. On a rainy Thursday afternoon, I met friend, Janet and her sons at Tre Piani Restaurant in Princeton, NJ. Tre Pianiis located 120 Rockingham Row, Princeton Forrestal Village, Princeton, NJ.  Their Web Site speaks for itself and will give you all the information you need.
