That was Easy! Without too much issues the attorney review process worked out okay.  Nothing too major, an additional parcel of land is now included in the sale of the house...  GREAT to help it Appraise later, The Lot size is now DOUBLE!!!  Can't make anymore land so that was an important win for us.  The transfer of title will also include a personal property item...  which includes an additional parcel of land.   I love this business...

Well I have completed the 3 days of training and passage of the 2 exams required to have the National Association of Realtors (NAR) give me the "green light" to call myself a "GREEN" Realtor.  Now I am anxiously awaiting the NAR Green Designation Member Kit which should arrive in 3-4 weeks.  The Green REsource Council of NAR provides oversight re this designation as well as provides the tools to help the "GREEN" team become suitable ambassadors of the movement toward sustainable homes and communities.  Next steps - contribute to a better quality of life for future generations.

I hope that I am not being overly optimistic but it looks like the home shoppers are starting to come out in full force.  All of a sudden my phone is jumping, my email Inbox is full of inquiries, and the Showing Desk in my office is very busy making appointments.  I know that we are now moving into Our Season but could it be that the housing slump is leaving NJ?  I like to believe that buyers are anticipating a surge and they don't want to miss out on any opportunities to snap up those lovely bargain-priced homes that have been drastically reduced from original asking. We have a lot of inventory that has to be absorbed so let's keep those buyers interested and happy.   Gloria Laughton Allston,SRES  Burgdorff ERA-Princeton www.Centralnjhomes4u.com

There are many reasons why we always get requests for Princeton Borough homes from buyers who are looking for homes for sale in the Princeton area . The reasons are the college town feel  of the downtown Princeton where most shops, restaurants, meseums, galleries, Princeton University and princeton schools are within walking distance. Others reason Princeton Borough homes for sale are so popular is because of the lifestyle they afford combining the urban city convenience of and the quiet serenity of a small suburabn town If you live in Princeton borough, you would most likely be able to walk to the Princeton Library, Princeton High school, and all the downtown Princeton restaurants and shops. The commute is also very convenient. There is a train called Dinky, which goes from the Princet...

Today a co-worker / co-agent asked me if I like working with a team better than being alone.  This caused me to thing a bit and I had to ask the following questions to the agent: Why do you ask the question? Are you thinking of joining a team? Would you like to join my team? What advantages do you think being on a team affords that working alone does not? Same question but vice-versa! I had to think of my own answers and here is what I came up with: WHY ASK THE QUESTION?It's important to understand why teams exsist.  For some its the team work model, for others its the mentoring and flexibility that having peers near by brings.  There is also a security element to being on a team.  How does that saying go...  Together Everyone Achieves More!...  Well its true, a well organized team mult...

The other evening we took a drive thru Palmer Square in Princeton, NJ. It is absolutely beautiful.  You have to excuse my non photo of the tree, I did not have my camera with me.  The tree is lit with beautiful colors, all of the shoppes are tastefully decorated,  There are wreaths everywhere and it is a wonderful sight to behold. I am planning on doing a walking tour and taking photos later this week or beginning of next, but in the meantime, if you are in the area and have a free moment, drive thru.  If you have even more time, park and take a walk, stop at one of the dining places or get cup of coffee.   Wonder what is going on in Palmer Square check out this link for all the holiday happenings.  I guarantee if you are not in the spirit now, you will be.   Photo courtesy of microsoft...

Sunday, was a blustery low 40 degree day in Central New Jersey.  Saturday had been a warm and sunny 70. No, I am not a weather commentator, just a "Returning Jersey Girl" taking in the wonder of an early winter day after spending last winter in sunny Naples Florida. Saw a bumper sticker there once it said "Jersey Girls don't pump Gas" My blood is slowly thickening to the cooler Jersey weather, especially after the early snowfall in mid October. Yesterday was a farm day reminiscent of past farm days in Central New Jersey from prior years.   I spent most of the day and evening outside.  I did some raking and mucking and laid down straw for the animals.  Quality time with the horses feeding them carrots and doing some other chores before cleaning up to go out to one of my favorite restaura...

A recent stroll down Library Place, Princeton Borough, camera in hand snapping photos of the beautiful homes with their individual architecture and leaded glass windows lead me to search tax records in our Trend MLS to see what has sold on this street of 31 houses. On February 29, 2008 one property on Library Place sold for $3,100,000.  The property had been in the same family for generations and featured five fireplaces and an elevator. Prior to that in August of 2007 a similar property sold for $3,250,000. Needless to say, properties in this elete area of town do not come on the market often. However, if you are interested in finding a home in Princeton Borough or Library Place, please contact me at coshea@nationsrealtors.com and I will be happy to help you find the home of your dream...

When I think of Witherspoon Street in Princeton Borough, I immediately think of Princeton Medical Center. I did not realize that there was a real life John Witherspoon until I took a tour of the Princeton University Campus. John Witherspoon was one of the signers of the Declaration of Indenpendence along with a being the sixth President of Princeton and from 1786 to 1782 a leading member of the Continental Congress. Originally from Scotland where he was an ordained minister he came to Philadelphia in August of 1776 and then moved to Princeton. Central New Jersey, Mercer County is rich in history and our founding fathers contributed to making this country what it is today. A trip down Witherspoon Street, its shoppes, offices and restaurants will now remind me of the founding fathers of t...

Why some Princeton homes sell quickly while others languish? Worst yet, why some of the Princeton homes for sale don't sell at all? These are the frequently asked questions by those selling or contemplating a sale of their Princeton real estate. This means approximately 43% of Princeton real estate did not sell and the homes were either withdrawn or expired. So, how as a home seller you could be part of the successful 57% ? One thing you could do is to examine some of the Princeton real estate success stories.Read: Why Some Princeton Homes Sell Quickly? This Princeton real estate housing market report may be the only report with some good news amid the financial crisis engulfing the country. The positive news is the 8% increase in the median house price  and the 6% increase in the average home price in Princeton Township in the 3d quarter 2008 compared with the same period in 2007.  The question  "How is the Princeton real estate?" is something I get asked at least half a dozen times daily. I was happy my answer for this article had some good news. Princeton NJ Mercer county real estate report has been developed to cover the results for the third quarter of 2008. This report details the prices of Princeton NJ homes for sale, trends in the numbers of homes sold, the average  days on the market it took to sell the house and the rate at w...

On a rainy Thursday afternoon, I met friend, Janet and her sons at Tre Piani Restaurant in Princeton, NJ. Tre Pianiis located 120 Rockingham Row, Princeton Forrestal Village, Princeton, NJ.  Their Web Site speaks for itself and will give you all the information you need. I am not a restaurant critic, but this restaurant is wonderful.  It has been open for quite some time and several years ago Maurice and I went there for lunch.  Janet's son, Mike, is a cook there and I have known him since he was less than one year old.  It is so great to watch someone grow up and have such a passion for what they do, Mike completed his culinary training last year in New York. Mike's specialty is pasta so I ordered the Pappardelle with wild mushrooms and mascarpone cheese, it was out of this world and t...

Princeton New Jersey Condos & Townhouses - Governor's Lane -Luxury Princeton Homes For Sale Princeton NJ Condos & Townhouses - Luxury Princeton Homes For Sale in Governor's Lane.Princeton New Jersey is known for it's wide selection of luxury  homes for sale including condos and townhouses.  Condos and Townhouses in the surrounding towns of Montgomery Township and West Windsor are not properties often associated with the idea of luxury houses, but rather homes for sale for first time home buyers in the Princeton area. In Princeton we have several luxury condominium and townhouses neighborhoods, such as Constitution Hill and Governor's Lane.Governor's lane homes and townhouses were built approximately 10 years ago and the neighborhood is reminiscent of the English mews houses.
