The long awaited grand opening of Morristown's Green finally arrived!  The day was spectacular in every way.  The weather cooperated, several people attended and the ceremony was very touching.  The mayor, Donald Cresitello was present and said  "Morristown is a community of diversity".  I personally embrace that aspect of Morristown and its surrounding towns.  The town and its renovations are exciting and very much in demand as the whole theme is changing around Morristown.  Shops are opening, restaurants are thriving and people are walking to get from one place to another! The "buzz" of new and improved is humming through the air even as we await the Holiday season!

Morris Township Home Sales for September 2007,19 homes sold in Morris Township in the month of September.  Not bad considering all that was going on in the world of Real Estate and Mortgages.  Many in the press would have you think that the real estate business has come to a halt and homes are not selling and nobody is buying.  That could not be further from the truth, in fact times like this are quite often the best times to be a buyer.  I am sure you understand why I say that.  If you know anything about the stock market, you know that you want to be a buyer after the market has collapsed, as it is very unlikely that the market will continue to fall apart and substantial gains are likly to be had on the upside.  Well the same thing in New Jersey Real Estate, only it just takes longer ...

For the month of September we had 10 homes sell and go to settlement in Morristown New Jersey.  Dispite what many in the news media are saying, people are still buying homes, people are still getting mortgages, the world is still moving forward. This is actually a great time to be a home buyer in Morristown.  You can still get a Mortgage with a good long term interest rate, and you can get a excellent deal on your next home.  Don't let the news media fool you and have you waiting until they say it is a good time to buy, because they never say that until it has been a good time to buy for about two years.  Address List Price TypeBedroomsBathroomsGarageBasement Sold Price DOM90 Mt. Today I held a brokers open house at my new listing at 48 James Street http://www.48jamesstreet.com/ if you care to take a look at it.  Priced at $494,500.  While I was there hosting about 20 of Morristowns local Realtors, the local Morristown Real Estate Police stopped in as well.  I was surprised to see them, as I had my normal yard sign, and 1 open house sign, which were both on the property.  They warned me that in the City of Morristown you are only allowed 1 sign unless you are selling a corner lot then you can have 2.This got me thinking and scheming a little as well.  I though, gee I smell a good blog for my wasteful overspending government series.  After all they have this government employee driving around in a new Ford Explorer, with City of Morristown emblazoned on the sides...

The market is what you make of it! Don't beleive the doom & gloom. NJ has not been as affected as some other markets. The lack of buildable land and proximity to NYC has insulated us to some degree. This is a "normal" market. Good house that are priced well are selling with proper marketing & promotion. For Buyers- high inventory & low interest rates= great opportunities! Bottom line- Don't wait to buy real estate- Buy Real estate & Wait! In the long run you'll be glad you did!

Morris Township NJ Real Estate & home sales for August 2007.August was a busy month for home sales in Morris Township New Jersey.  There were 31 homes sold this last month which is a good number considering how bad the national news wants to beat up on the condition of the real estate market.  If they would just through out the 5 worst states when announcing the national statistics they would actually be giving good news.  Happily The New Jersey Real Estate market is not one of the 5 worst markets for selling a home this year.  New Jersey and Morris County NJ Real Estate is selling fairly well this summer.  The spring market was very slow but now things are moving right along.Morris Township NJ Real Estate  & Morristown NJ Real Estate  are almost the same thing to be precise.  Morris To...

Morristown NJ Real Estate Report of all the Real Estate sales in Morristown New Jersey for the month of August 2007.August was a busy month for home sales in Morristown New Jersey.  That may come as a shock to you if you have been watching the national news much.  They are all gloom and doom, but they cannot help it, the national news is influenced very heavily by California Real Estate Statistics 15% of the national statistics and Florida Real Estate Statistics 12% of the national Statistics for a total of 27% of the national total.  The fact that both of those real estate markets are just horrible drags down the rest of the nations statistics with them.New Jersey Real Estate on the other hand is doing fairly well in 2007.  For homes price below $600,000 we have actually seen about 1/2...

What is happening in the Morristown NJ Real Estate market?  Improvement is what is happening.  That is the what the statistics say about Morristown NJ in the publication of How Are The Local Real Estate Markets Doing?. The local real estate markets in Morristown NJ and surrounding communities of Parsippany, Morris Township, & Morris Plains NJ are all seeing consistent recovery according to the artical. So what should would be home sellers do to ensure that their home will sell for what it is really worth?Pricing is the #1 Most important consideration!!  Over price your home by even 3% and you may end up having to do a 10% or larger price reduction later just to get the attention you have lost back to your home.  Remember a home sells for the highest price possible when it sells in the fi...

Morristown New Jersey's Real Estate market continues to improve but at a slow pace.  The number of homes on the market continues to decline as well as the number of home closings each month continuing to increase.  Both are signs that home buyers are still willing to buy homes, and home sellers are understanding that their is a fair market value for their home. For more information about how the local Midtown Direct Line Real Estate Markets as well as the Morristown NJ Real Estate market, take a look at the ongoing report Morris County Real Estate Markets On The Mend.Home sellers, here are a few points to consider now that the once in a lifetime all out sellers market is over.  You still can get a excellent value from your home.  You just need to understand how exactly to price your home...
