The Township Committee informally agreed Monday to continue considering plans to redevelop an old salvage yard into a 97-acre waterfront property including a transit village of 685 townhomes and retail stores.   Representatives of Bordentown Waterfront Community LLC, which has offices in Princeton, took about an hour to lay out the plans at the Monday night committee meeting, complete with multiple visual aids, aerial maps and computer-generated visions of how the project will look when completed.   The property, which extends into Fieldsboro and Mansfield, but mostly lies in Bordentown Township, encompasses 97 acres including a portion of Newbold Island, and had been used until the 1980s as a shipyard. Our Local Mortgage rep was just in our office.  The mortgage industry isn't as bad as the News is saying.  You can still get a mortgage the standards are just a little tougher.  You would be amazed where people can find money for downpayments ect.  Educate your consumers - it is possible.  If people think they have to have perfect credit, that's not the case.  It's up to us in our area of Jersey to educate them about our market.  Realtors unite!   03/22/2007
