Portsmouth NH Homeowners Selling Tips Portsmouth New Hampshire homeowners might just enjoy having these fall selling tips if their homes are on the market now, or are about to come on the market for sale!I just read a nice article by Michele Dawson, in this morning's Realty Times e-newsletter, offering tips to help sell in the fall.  Some of these tips are common sense, and some add a really nice welcoming feeling to potential buyers and their agents, and they all offer homeowners easy things to think about doing if their house is for sale.--"Curb Appeal" - never forget to think about those all-important 'first impressions'.  With the gorgeous colors of fall leaves, this can add to a home's already existing appeal, however all those leaves laying around on the ground certainly don't.  C...

Portsmouth New HampshireEver been to Portsmouth New Hampshire?  Those of us who live here and love it tend to think of it as "God's Country"!!  It is such a special place to call home!  We are right here on the Atlantic Ocean, our coastline is a mere 17 miles long, bordering Massachusetts to the south and Maine to the north.  Portsmouth is right on the Piscataqua River, which is the border between New Hampshire and Maine.  This river has the 3rd fastest current in the world...practice up your boating skills for our river!!                 Portsmouth NH is approximately 45 minutes north of Boston, 45 minutes south of Portland, Maine, and about 45 minutes east of Manchester, New Hampshire.  We have great highways and commuter's routes here, a small airport, rail service, and the mountains...

Whew, it was a bit chilly when I got up this morning!!  The temperatures around the area had dipped into the 40's, believe it or not!  My calendar is telling me we're still in the season called summer, but that certainly isn't a summer temperature in my book!It is gloriously sunny here, so I know it will warm up.  The high today is to be in the high 60's, and I'd like it to be a little higher than that.  This year's temperatures seem to be a bit off kilter to me.  Do they seem that way to others?Years ago, I would look forward to winter, I loved the cold air and felt invigorated by it.  Today, and the last few days, I've felt a feeling of not looking forward to cooler temps.  Could it be that I'm getting a little older?  People used to tell me that when you get older, you'll really grow...

I read a post about technology and free wireless internet being provided by some cities around the country.  Right here in my town of Portsmouth New Hampshire, we have access to free wireless internet in the downtown area.  The town officials have said the usage of it has grown more and more each year, and they're now considering expanding the free wireless area to include more space outside of the downtown areas it's presently in.I haven't taken advantage of this yet myself, but I've had several clients who just absolutely love being able to sit downtown at one of the cafes or restaurants that have outdoor seating, have their coffee and danish, and work away on their computers.  They call it their 'outdoor office space'!  I'm working with a client right now who goes downtown early in t...

The Portsmouth New Hampshire Little League All-Stars team made it to the World Series, and they played so well!  Everyone at home was rooting for them, whether we knew any of the kids on the team or not.  And play well, they certainly did!  They made it all the way to the semi-finals, being beat by a great team from Georgia.  That same Georgia team went on to become the Little League World Series Champs for 2006.  Not a bad team to have been beaten by......The Portsmouth NH, All-Stars Team had a terrific journey, winning the District and New Hampshire State Tournaments, and then to take the New England Regional Title.  What a great group of kids, and their coaches were so inspiring, to them and to us!  Little League provides such a foundation for kids to carry with them throughout their...
