Art in the Park For almost 60 years, the annual Greeley Park Art Show takes place in Greeley Park every August. Sponsored by the Nashua Area Artists Association, it is filled with drawing, photographs and art renderings of all kinds. Artists come from as far away as the Boston area, Rhode Island and Laconia. Generally more than 65 artists participate in the annual event. Not only is it a friendly competition, the art is also for sale. Although it is a competition, and judges are brought in from other towns and art organizations, it is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in the park, where v isitors are treated to classical and jazz music.

When you visit Nashua, New Hampshire you will understand why it is the only city to get the No. 1 ranking as the BEST PLACE to LIVE IN AMERICA in Surveys by Money Magazine twice (1987 & 1997).  In 2007, the Morgan Quinto Press ranked Nashua as the 27th safest City in the US and in 2008 New Hampshire was selected as the most LIVABLE STATE! Once a major manufacturing city, Nashua has now become a lovely small town with great a great economic outlook.  Nashua combines an excellent quality of life with proximity to the New Hampshire seacoast, the White Mountains and Boston, MA. Originally known as Dunstable, in 1836, the town adopted the Nashua River's Name "Nashaway" which means "a beautiful river with a pebbly bottom" and "land between two rivers."   Today it is known as "The Gate City...

You can now receive a free wireless connection all along Main Street in Nashua, New Hampshire. As reported in the Nashua Telegraph, the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce is providing a free wireless network from Railroad Square to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center. Bring your laptop to any of the cafés and restaurants or shops along Main Street and you will be able to connect to check your email or browse the internet. I see this as a great move by the Greater Nashua Chamber of Commerce as this will surely have more people deciding to take their lunch breaks or business meetings to any one of the cafés along Main Street. There are many sidewalk cafés and restaurants all along Main Street along with a small park at the corner of Canal and Main. Not to mention a number of special...

Welcome to my Blog. The good news is that real estate is taking many baby steps towards a "spring" market.  Most of our 100 or so agents are "busy".  Listings are coming in fairly priced to the market and buyers are starting to think that maybe an upswing is coming and they should act now.  I've even seem multiple offers - an event that has been missing for several years now.  In some developments the foreclosures have drastically driven prices down and owners in those areas will need to hold on for another year (unless they absolutely have to sell now) to get back to two years ago pricing.  Appraisors have told me that they have to use the foreclosures if they represent a high percentage of the sales in that neighborhood.  This is when you definitely need an experienced agent.  It does...

CANDIDATES RUNNING FOR MAYOR TO SHOW THEIR "TRUE COLORS"...   The September 11th primary election for Mayor of Nashua is not very far away.  With all of the busy activities of the summer, it is easy to forget about the election.    A community forum is being sponsored by Hampshire First Bank and is being moderated by Alan Manoian and former city development director.  Manoian gives Nashua a ranking of 4 out of 10 on a scale of 10 concerning environmental matters.  It looks like there iswork to be done.  According to Manoian in a recent interview with the Nashua Telegraph, at this time there are no green roofs on city buildings, little water conservation, and only one building with Geothermal heating.     The candidates will be asked about what they would do to make Nashua Greener.  ...

Good News for New Hampshire Buyers, Sellers, Developers and those relocating to New Hampshire                                              All Aboard - Last Call ~~~ After 40 years without with a daily commuter rail service, it looks like passenger rail from Lowell Massachusetts to the Granite State is closer to becoming a reality.   Last Friday, Governor Lynch signed Senate Bill 75 which created an independent authority charged with restoring commuter rail service from Massachusetts to Nashua.     The New Hampshire Rail Transit Authority will consist of 27 members and is charged with bring mass transit to Nashua and other parts of the State.  This is an important step in reducing the congestion on our highways and improving air pollution and fuel consumption.  Rail stations with park...

BUYER ALERT - Read this BEFORE purchasing a Condominium.        A Condominium is a type of joint ownership of real estate.  There are a lot of things you need to know before you decide if a Condominium is right for you.      Typically, the Buyer owns and is responsible for everything within the walls of the condominium unit and a percentage of all the public or common areas according to a formula set forth in the documents recorded in the registry of deeds. This means the buyer has an ownership interest in the unit, and also becomes an owner of an undivided interest in the common areas.  The common areas or limited common areas may include the roof, the building siding, roads, sidewalks, and public facilities. The public facilities may include a pool, clubhouse, playground, tennis court...
