There's still no resolution on the proposed Wastewater Treatment Plant for "The Woods" community in Weddington. Located just southeast of Charlotte in popular Union County, neighboring residents have been vocal in their opposition to the wastewater plan for the proposed upscale community of homes in The Woods.  At issue is community access to sewer services. Today on my way in to work, I had to take a more scenic route. I am glad I did, as I was exposed to something I normally would not see in "rush hour" morning traffic.Weddington, NC is a quiet town just outside of Charlotte, NC in Union county. It is one of the fastest growing areas and is attracting many affluent people. The charm of the town and the rural feeling really add to the experience there. One of the smaller drawbacks is the main road in and out. Hwy 16 is a simple 2 lane road which gets very busy in the morning.This morning I saw something you rarely see anymore. At the end of Weddington-Matthews Rd, where it intersects with Weddington Rd, the traffic gets backed up.
