February home sales in the Waxhaw area of the Charlotte  metro area (the 28173 zip  code--encompassing Waxhaw, Weddington, and Marvin) continued on a strong path. The average sale price of Waxhaw area homes increased by 8.4% to just over $401,000 versus February 2015. Median days on market for property listings dropped by 11 days to 37 days, a 22.9% improvement over the same period last year.  Price per square foot also increased by 7.2% to $119/square foot during February 2016 versus February 2015. Closed sales in Waxhaw/Weddington/Marvin areas decreased 4.2% in February 2016 as compared with February 2015.  The lack of inventory priced at $300,000 and below is hurting sales in the Waxhaw area. Pending sales were up 4.8% versus February 2015. The average percent of original list price ...

December 2015  showed a very respectable  performance  for home sales in the Waxhaw area of the Charlotte  metro area (the 28173 zip  code--encompassing Waxhaw, Weddington, and Marvin). The average sale price of Waxhaw area homes increased by 8.5% to just over $402,000 versus December 2014. Median days on market for property listings dropped by 11 days to 38 days, a 22.4% improvement over the same period last year.  Price per square foot also increased by 6.3% to $118/square foot during December 2015 versus December2014.  Closed sales  in Waxhaw/Weddington/Marvin areas decreased 8.2% in December 2015.
