Jones Dairy Farm  Welcome to Jones Dairy Farm located in beautiful Wake Forest NC. The homes in Jones Dairy Farm are priced to sell for between $130,000.00 to $220,000.00 and were built from 1985 and 2001.    Conveniently  located within 2 miles of the closest shopping center with grocery stores, hardware and restaurants in both the friendly towns of Wake Forest and Rolesville. The Wake Forest Urban Forestry Advisory Board (UFAB) will have its 5th annual tree seedling giveaway on Saturday, March 6, from 8am - noon (or until they run out of trees) on Brooks Street in historic downtown Wake Forest NC.  The exact location is not yet known due to the construction of the Wake Forest Town Hall but there will be directional signs that you can follow. Some of what you will find are: Atlantic White Cedar Eastern Red Cedar Overcup Pak Dogwood Eastern Redbud Persimmon Crape Myrtle Last year my family took advantage and we got 3 seedlings.  The volunteers at the event were EXTREMELY helpful with answering questions about planting and care.  Our trees are still growing and we are looking forward to this year - I want another Dogwood!  This year the volunteers for this seed...

It has taken quite some time but we finally found THE puppy that we wanted to love.  His name (so far) is Brodie!  He has been home since 5pm and this house will never be the same!  Tug was hesitant at first to meet him but after just a few short minutes, a few growls and the obligatory sniffs all is wonderful in this house! Meet Brodie!  This is how Tug handles him.....just throws a leg over him! Liam decided to join in....... And then there is sweet revenge...... Or to solve all problems Tug just lays on Brodie! I have to say - we got Brodie from the Wake County Animal Shelter.  It broke my heart that we couldn't scoop up more than just Brodie!  So, please, if you are looking to add another member to your family of the four legged kind please visit your local Animal Shelter - there ar...

If you are a historic homeowner, a historic homeowner wannabe or just want to catch up on the lingo then head on over to my Historic Homes blog What's Your Circa - you just might learn a little something!  You can read all about the Certificate of Appropriateness at this post: Historic Homes an...

Wow, what a crazy weather week in Wake Forest NC!  While we had incredibly beautiful snow last week it became quite a hassle the rest of the week.  Kids didn't have school Monday - Wednesday and now they will have to make up several of the days on Saturdays!  My neighborhood was FULL of kids sledding and having snowball fights and there were a few injuries - my son included.  My son, Liam, decided to find the steepest driveway and go rogue.......he hit a bump and ended up in the trees.  After 4 visits with an Ophthalmologist we think he will continue to get his sight back little by little with minimal long-term damage - it has been very scary but not enough to keep him from basketball!  He played in his game last night and at one point when the coach was getting him in the game where Li...

Wow, talk about an area coming to a standstill!  I know that in Wake Forest NC we have waited all season to see a few snow flakes and we got our wish over this past weekend!  Over 6 inches of snow fell in Wake Forest NC!  That may not be much to others in different parts of the country but it was a huge event here!  I have to laugh when I think of a Status Update a friend of mine put on Facebook:  "For those of you that don't live in the Raleigh NC area:  We are having a "Winter Storm EVENT"-- very fancy way of saying, "It's SNOWING" Roads are still a little edgy this morning but little by little we will get it all cleared and be back to normal - just takes us a little longer than the rest of the country when we get snow. Regardless, events in Wake Forest NC are pushing on this week and...

So many times potential sellers want to try and sell their home themselves (FSBO - For Sale By Owner)  Why is that?  Well, I have found, more often than not, that it is because sellers sometimes aren't quite sure what a professional Realtor® can do for them. A professional, equipped and skilled Realtor® will assist you with a wide range of skills and aid you in making invaluable decisions during the real estate transaction.  While the following list is by no means inclusive of all of the significant services a Realtor® will provide it is an outline of how you can most certainly benefit from employing a professional:    Pays for all marketing and advertising costs.  Be sure to ask your Realtor® for their marketing plan.
