Is Business picking up for you?  It is finally moving some here in our area. I am in the coastal part of North Carolina, where the Atlantic Ocean and the Cape Fear River join. It has been slow here for the past 8 years but I am beginning to see some increased activity.   Everyone says that we have reached the bottom...I am not so sure, but I do know that prices are much more affordable. I almost feel that we are back to pre 2005 prices. Does anyone else get that feeling?   Share your thoughts please,   08/16/2013

Re-blogged by 0 agents       We are having an over abundance of tomatoes right now and our youngest daughter wanted to make a pizza.    I thought, I can make some homemade Pizza Sauce, so I did.    I took the tomatoes that we had and blended them with an onion and a bell pepper, then I added to the blender, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, garlic, parsley,  sugar, and a bay leaf.    I let it cook down until it as pizza sauce consistency and then put of the pizza crust with hamburger and mozzarella cheese.   Baked until crispy and then served.. It was delicious..   Think out side the box and go for it..   08/11/2013

With Growth comes a new VA Clinic to Brunswick County The long-awaited Veterans Administration Clinic in Brunswick County will open in August, according to a Wednesday announcement from U.S. Rep. Mike McIntyre's office. The clinic will be located at 20 Medical Campus Drive, Unit 106, in Supply. "This new clinic will provide valuable services to the veterans population and honor their commitment and service to our nation," McIntyre, a Lumberton Democrat, stated in a news release. "I am thrilled to be able to help our veterans right here at home." Brunswick County veterans now have to travel to Wilmington or Fayetteville for VA treatment. While I was busy with Clients today, Cheeky Assistant took the girls and went "adventuring".  They ended up at Lake Waccamaw in Brunswick County, NC and had a chance to see some beautiful scenery and a few of the local inhabitants. Lake Waccamaw is more than 9000 acres and has 14 miles of shoreline.  The Green Swamp, located near Lake Waccamaw State Park was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1974 and is home to the endangered red-cockaded woodpecker, the eastern diamondback rattlesnake, Bachman's sparrow and the American alligator.                                 Cheeky Assistant strongly suggests a day trip to Lake Waccamaw, especially now that it's a little cooler and the trees are beginning to change colors.  But you better step lively, I understand these guys are pretty FAST... 10/02/2010

Another Great Sunday time with the family. After going to church with our two youngest grandchildren, we came home to cook London Broil out on the grill.    Our son in law, lit the fire and proceeded with the marinated London Broil, eggplant and Onions. Meanwhile, the grandsons helped me to fix the salad, make the thousand Island dressing, whip up a peach cobler, butter the bread for coonking and finish the tea.  All with the help of 4 tiny hands and mine. My husband fixed a wonderful shrimp Dinner for me with the help of one of our daughters. We had Boiled Shrimp, Crab Dip, Salad with dressings, hushpuppies, crackers for the dip..and of course Chocolate Cake that my Husband baked by his own two little hands..He is the best. After we ate and opened gifts, I said "I only need my 2 grandchildren from Greensboro to be with me and I  would be so happy..about 10 minutes later..they walked in..  Wow...I was blown away.  Had the biggest majority of my family with me.. Amazing....some things never change.  I was out on a 12 Acre tract of land with a manufactured home on it and showing it to a buyer.  What great fun.  I had the Buyer, his Mother, and his Brother.  It is so good to see the excitement in their eyes as they look around and dream.  Plans were beginning to come together and it was pure pleasure. Supply is a small unincorporated community in Brunswick County, North Carolina, USA located around the intersection of US 17 (Ocean Highway) and NC 211(Southport-Supply Road/Green Swamp Road). Its name is derived from the hardware stores and other supply shops found within the community. Residents of the nearby beach communities of Holden Beach, Oak Island, Ocean Isle, Caswell Beach, and Sunset Beach often used to commute to Supply for goods and other materials.
