It’s that time of year again in Matthews NC.  This small town on Charlotte’s southeastern edge fills with thousands of people each Labor Day weekend for the Matthews Alive Festival.  The 2012 festival will be the 20th anniversary of this event. Matthews Alive opens on Friday evening, August 31st, and closes at 5pm on Monday, September 3rd.  In between, festival goers can watch a parade, enjoy live entertainment, have fun at a carnival, see classic cars, and much more. Matthews NC Real Estate Market Second Quarter 2012—Four Facts It's time to look at the real estate market in Matthews NC and to assess how home buyers and home sellers fared during the second quarter of 2012. Two Parks in Downtown Matthews NC--A Video Tour Matthews NC has five parks that enhance the walkability of the downtown and its nearby residential neighborhoods.  One of these parks in the Four Mile Creek Greenway, which has two miles of paved trails along the creek.  The Greenway loops through another of the downtown parks, Squirrel Lake Park. In April, the Town of Matthews held a dedication ceremony for a stone fountain along the Greenway and a grand re-opening of the recently renovated Squirrel Lake Park.  Watch this video tour of these two parks.
