When you are looking for a home, do you take any of these into consideration? I would think they forgot one, that would be schools.  Does not matter if you have kids or not.  More valueable homes are usually in the better school districts.  Of course as REALTORS, we can not discuss specfics, and I always refer my clients to Great Schools.org According to a National Association of Home Builders study, the key attributes that dictate a home's value include such things as the home's neighborhood, the age of the home, square footage, number of complete bathrooms, number of bedrooms, presence of a garage and/or basement, central air conditioning, a fireplace, and water within three hundred feet of the home. Based on this statement, my kids go to the Marvin Ridge School district.  Want to vi...

Rich in history, North Carolina's Marvin has many wonderful and humorous stories to tell. Passed down from generation to generation, beginning during the civil war and ending in a battle over pocket watches and hundreds of thousands of dollars, there are so many stories that touch both the white and black community of Marvin, back then and now. The story of two wealthy white sisters, Maggie and Sallie Ross, began like any other sisters in the North Carolina community of Marvin. They were taken care of by a black man and then by his daughter when she became old enough. These sisters were cousins to the governor at the time, but that is neither here nor there. The sisters were very kind and wanted to give the man and his daughter something when they passed away, so the wrote identical wil...

Many, many people want to live in a highly rated school district.  Marvin Ridge is one of them in Charlotte, NC.  As a matter of fact, I know of several Carolina Panthers children along with Charlotte Bobcats kids go here.  Now the area is filled with many fine mansions, but believe it or not, there are still homes for reasonable prices. Here is a map showing some homes that are in foreclosure.  Not all are listed on the MLS, but all are owned by a bank.  Sometime in the future the bank will place them on the MLS, but with so much inventory, they hold off on releasing some, hence the term "shadow inventory". If you are interested in seeing something check out my website for foreclosures.   Foreclosure Stage, Tax ID, Address, City State Zip, Subdivision, Foreclosure Recording Date, Case ...
