Yesterday, August 8, 2008, I drove through Maggie Valley doing errands, camera attached at the hip. It was easy to find things to do and see in Maggie Valley, but the one spot I skipped completely was the Wedding Chapel. Ghost Town in the Sky's parking lot was quite full of vehicles. The lifts (on right) were running non-stop and the weather was quite beautiful. Hard to believe that soon the weather will be changing and the 'leaf-looking' season will be upon us. There were quite a few people at the Maggie Valley Rock Shop and Gem Mine, sifting through sand to find treasurers, and sorting through the chunks of earth laid out on numerous tables.
