If you are looking for a nice quiet subdivision, full of good old fashioned charm, you need look no further than Crestview in Lincolnton, NC. Close to town, and right around the corner from S. Ray Lowder Elementary School. Right across the street is Domino's Pizza, Dollar Tree and Dollar General. The neighborhood itself has a sidewalk, and I see people walking during their lunch breaks from the nearby hospital and doctor's offices. Many kids play in their yards and most homes range in value from low to mid $100,000.

It's Not Just For Cows Anymore   Written by Cassie Hansley, Realtor® with Wilkinson And Associates in Lincolnton. With the downturn in the mortgage industry, many old, familiar loan programs are dusting off the cobwebs and coming out to play.  The biggest player is obviously the FHA loan product and with the media and congress spending so much time hyping these loans for refinances, other programs get overlooked. While the FHA loan is great for many borrowers, there is still another program that is even better for middle income families in rural areas that are looking to purchase a home. It's the USDA Guaranteed Rural Development loan.  The biggest misconception of this program is that most people think it's just for farmers and their livestock. But, years ago, the USDA started allowi...

Buyer's Agent? Seller's Agent? Both? Written by Cassie Hansley, Realtor® with Wilkinson And Associates in Lincolnton.      Most people, when buying real estate, have an "agent." Few however, seem to know the duties owed to them by their agent, nor do they recognize the value of having their own agent as opposed to "dual agency." Agent is defined as "A party who is authorized to act in the best interests of another (called the principal) and is obligated to place the principal's interests before the interests of any other parties, including the agent's own interest regardless of whether the agency relationship is with the seller of the property or the buyer." What to expect from an agent   If you are using an agent to help you sell your property, then you have probably entered into a co...
