Kure Beach Real Estate Stabilizes on 2012 after final correction Hi I'm Jay Seville the team leader of the JustNewLlistings.com team.  To see the sum total of my Kure Beach real estate vlogs or blog posts go to that website.  Once in awhile especially if you're a real estate blogger, you go, if you do some research you look at the numbers you look at the market data and you compare it to your own personal experience.   And I was doing that recently and because I show property all the time one of my favorite areas is  Kure Beach North Carolina.  And I was glancing at some market data a and was caught off guard at how negative the market data looked at first glance.  I wrote 6 months ago about how Kure Beach real estate trends were going against the tide.  I had observed that while the Wi...

SeaWatch at Kure Beach NC is an exquisite community by the Sea.  Kure Beach is located on Pleasure Island.  The community has oceanfront, ocean view and maritime forest homes and  home sites. Most home sites are developed, but there are a few lots left at SeaWatch.  The community is a short drive to historic Fort Fisher  by car or golf cart.  Downtown Wilmington is located about 20 minutes away. The ocean front lots are protected by a dune ridge and some lots have elevations of up to 30 feet. The community encompasses 20+ acres of live oaks, stately pines, yaupon holly, laurel oaks and wax myrtle trees. The architecture has a Caribbean influence with its colors of salmon, purple, green, blue, yellow and more. Your mail box matches your home.  The community also features a pool, tennis c...

Seawatch is a super colorfula and cozy neighborhood of homes in Kure Beach NC.  If you're not familiar with Seawatch homes Kure Beach here are a couple of pics: How is the Seawatch Homes Market in 2012 Doing? So far since a year ago list prices are down 25% from a year ago.  The last sale was in September 2011.  For some perspective view the market data going back to 2009 for seawatch homes. With this somewhat of a boutique community not having many homes-- 113 -- one has be careful not to read too much into the data and reserve judgement.  As I develop instincts for this niche I'll have a lot more to say about it.

Thankful Thursday in Kure Beach NC After a week (that isn't even over!) that's felt like 3, and left me feeling as twisted as these Live Oaks in Kure Beach NC, I'm Thankful that, like these trees, I'm still standing.  There are days I feel like I can't do it, but somehow God gets me through.  I may not be straight and tall, and my hair's a little windswept, but I'm still standing.

Kure Beach NC - Beach views - you could be here..   This was a last Sunday morning at Kure Beach... What a place... serene, quiet, gorgous views - just fisherman and seagulls on the beach. The Kure Beach pier is in the distance where folks fish all day for a $ 5.00 fee. You could have these views too. Where you are looking for a 2nd home or to relocate you should consider Kure Beach. It is not just a rental beach town there are permanent residents here that enjoy this beach community all year long. It is great for fishing, surfing, sunny, swimming and exploring. Let me know if you are interested...

The View from Fort Fisher in Kure Beach NC I was Blessed today to have an errand in Kure Beach NC.  As I often do, when I'm up that way, I went on up to the Fort Fisher Historic Site.  I'm not really interested in history, I go for the scrub oaks, ocean and peace.  Not that the history isn't fascinating or worth learning, not at all.  In fact Fort Fisher is a fascinating place with many tales to tell.  There's even a ghost!  If you have the opportunity you should definitely visit.  From the Fort Fisher web site; Until the last few months of the Civil War, Ft. Fisher kept North Carolina's port of Wilmington open to blockade-runners supplying necessary goods to Confederate armies inland. By 1865, the supply line through Wilmington was the last remaining supply route open to Robert E. Lee'...

Lots of deals right now at Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. IRC just had a price drop of $ 50 K on an oceanfront home. It is now priced at $ 525K for oceanfront. These are 2003 or earlier prices. In 2005 this would've have been closer to a 1 million dollar asking price. Buy now for investment and future enjoyment - prices will never be this low again. Carolina & Kure Beaches - There are currently 395 single family homes for sale and this represents little change from February 1, 2011 and 8.4% of our total WRAR inventory. The average list price is $381,410 and decrease of about $8,596 from February. In February there were 18 homes sold, divide that by the homes available and you have a 21.9 monthly supply of homes in Carolina and Kure Beach. The average sold price for the month of Februa...
