The chart below represents the total dollar volume of homes sold during 2015 broken down by the month the closing took place. Closing is when the two sides exchange deeds for money. Closings typically occur 30 to 40 days after the buyer and seller agree on a contract.  June and July both had the highest number of closings, which means those buyers started looking in March or April and most the contracts were written in April and May.If you are contemplating selling your home in Kitty Hawk, give us a call or click one of the links below to find out what we can do for you.

Do you find yourself asking, is the timing right to put my house in Martin's Point on the market right here in the middle of winter? The answer is simple, yes. Unlike other areas, where home sales peak and fall with the ebb and flow of the school system, home sales in Martin's Point are not restricted by families looking to relocate. Often, busy professionals find it more convenient to shop for a second home during the winter when traffic and vacationers do not get in the way. Winter shopping for homes is restricted by the weather back home which sometimes keeps the buyers trapped up north but the usual time restraints do not get in the way.The graph below shows the number of homes sold in each month in Martin's Point from July 2014 thru July 2015. The chart records the actual date of c...
