Kannapolis, NC Real Estate News

The number one cause of dryer fires is reduced airflow from lint build-up inside the dryer and in the dryer ducts.  As the dryer labors to force heat and moisture through the clogged dryer vent system, a spark is thrown; the flammable lint ignites and creates perfect fuel for a rapidly spreading fire.   Proper air flow keeps drying time down, which keeps operating costs down.  Proper dryer vent cleaning and maintenance ensures your dryer is operating safely and efficiently.   Be sure your dryer duct system meets local codes.  Vinyl and flexible foil venting are not up to code; use semi rigid or rigid metal to achieve maximum air flow, extend the life of your dryer and reduce wear on your clothing.   Your clothes dryer was built to last; not too much can go wrong with it if the dryer ven...

Thank you all for the response to our new book. You are great. The reviews are terrific and we appreciate it. Most are saying the same thing about not realizing that they could do some of these strategies with the 203k including buying investment property. Yes, it can be done. There is talkin DC about bringing investors back into the 203k... stay tuned for that when it happens.

My last post was about seeing a movie at the Gem Theatre in Kannapolis NC. The Gem is in an area known as Cannon Village. The main shopping area of Cannon Village is a long street with businesses/shops on both sides. Here you will find furniture stores, gift shops, ice cream parlors, churches and much more.       After the movie, we took a leisurely walk down the pavered sidewalk to window shop and occassionally stop in a store. Every so often, there is a bench to sit on should your footsies get tired.  : )             There is even a public restroom should the need arise. There is plenty of parking as well.           Located right next to Cannon Village is the new NC Research Campus. It's being built where the old Textile buildings use to be. At one time, Kannapolis was a booming texti...

Last weekend was so beautiful here in Concord, North Carolina that we decided to go to the movies... go figure! While there are many different theatres to choose from, we like to go to the Gem in Kannapolis, North Carolina.     Gem Theatre One of the reasons I really like this theatre is because of the outside facade. It reminds me of theatres of old, with the lighted marquee and ticket booth out front. They show only 1 movie at a time. Tickets are $3.00 for everyone always!! That's a deal! Once inside, you come to the concession stand. All candies are $1.00...yes! $1.00! The food is also fairly priced. We bought 2 popcorns, 3 sodas and 2 candies for under $11.00. I dare you to spend that little in a big chain theatre. Another nice aspect of the Gem is you can sit 1st floor level or in ...

Do you live in Kannapolis North Carolina or the surrounding area and need to sell your home NOW to avoid foreclosure?  But, due to current real estate market conditions you won't be able to sell it for a high enough price to pay off your mortgage(s), the Realtor's listing commission and other seller fees?  Well, you aren't alone! Unfortunately, owners in Kannapolis North Carolina and across the country are finding that their home's current market value is less than they paid for it.  Even more tragically, the value of their home is less than the loan payoff.  They always heard that home values will go up over time, they thought they were building equity in their home... thus saving for retirement or for a downpayment to move up to a larger home in a few years. If possible, home owners s...

This offer is only good to the first 5 lot sales, or until December 31, 2008. Visit our website for current lot pricing, and then take 10% off of that price to determine your clients sales price. Keep in mind this does not affect your 6% commission on the sale. We anticipate the start of our third phase early next year, and would like to clear out as much inventory between now and then as possible. Again, this discount is only good until the end of the year, and then our prices will revert to the full listing price.

A short sale occurs when the proceeds of a real estate sale fall short of the balance owed on the property.  In a short sale, the bank or mortgage lender agrees to discount a loan balance due to an economic or financial hardship on the part of the mortgagor. This negotiation is all done through communication with a bank's Loss mitigation department.  A Realtor can help you through this process and negotiate with the bank on your behalf. What does this mean for you as a BUYER? Because of the current mortgage crisis and the large number of homes that are facing foreclosure, there are many short sale listings currently available for purchase in Kannapolis North Carolina and the surrounding areas.  These homes are available at BARGAIN prices, so they can be sold quickly...
