Island Encore in Indian Beach, NC A couple days ago, Mom and I were out taking pictures of a new listing in Indian Beach, North Carolina.  On our way back to the office, mom slammed on the brakes and made a quick u-turn to check out a shop.  I complained, I didn't have time, I needed to get home, I must do this, blah, blah, blah......   Well, She insisted that we check it out and man, oh man, I am in LOVE!  Island Encore Consignment Shop is Fabulous.  I am currently in the process of "sprucing" up my own home (thanks Roger Mucci, Shar Sitter & Laura Baker), and found all kinds of Treasures in Island Encore.    If you are selling your home in the Bogue Banks area, Island Encore would be the perfect place to take some of your "stuff" for consignment.  Declutter and make a few extra bucks ...

Just Please Don't Throw me in the Briar Patch....   Yesterday was a beautiful day on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina.  Sunny with bright blue skies, and a toasty 58º degrees.   It was absolutely gorgeous.  So, when Marian, aka Mom, asked me to take photos of her new listing and then help her put up a sign at another new listing...I jumped at the chance.  Problem was...I got caught up in the photo opportunities and the sunshine, that Marian was left waiting for me in the office parking lot to put up a sign. OOPS!   Reminded me of the old Brer Rabbit Stories....This is one job I love to help with, Especially on a beautiful day!  Don't tell Marian, she thinks I was doing her a BIG favor! The photos above were taken in Indian Beach, North Carolina!  A Delightful little fishing village l...

This past weekend the temperature reached the 70's at Indian Beach! Although I was not personally out basking in the sun at the beach, I had a homeowner tell me that he and his family were enjoying the sand and sun all weekend long.  Warm weather and sunny skies were exactly what everyone was looking for after the April showers we've been having across the state of North Carolina. "We had a great time (well, except for the sunburn... which I kind of didn't expect in April).  We brought my son, for the first time, and he said, "It is the greatest place I have ever been."  - Grande Villas homeowner Sunburn in April?!  I just love the North Carolina weather!!  We have so many warm months out of the year that you can even get a sunburn in April.

Nestled in the middle of Bogue Banks is the waterfront community of Salter Path and Indian Beach. With a big pupolation of 92 full time residents the annual attraction of vacationers from all around boosts this sleepy towns economy during tourist season. Great things are happening here as new construction has begun and the settlers are welcoming this growth open armed.   Known as a a fishermans wharf, this area once was the location of local trade swapping mullet for corn and sweet potatoes. Still a fishing haven, on any given day you will see local oysters, shirmp and fresh catch being sold curbside and in the fish markets. Yummy!Come visit Salter Path- Indian Beach. There is a great public facility offering picturesque picnic areas underneath the canopy of old oaks. The winding boardw...
