The ACC Hall of Champions is the newest attraction in Greensboro.  Opened to the public on March 3, 2011, this facility is dedicated the the rich history of Atlantic Coast Conference athletics. The Hall features multi-media exhibits, life-sized mascots and interactive broadcasts to provide a comprehensive view of the first 58 years of ACC history.  Greensboro was chosen as the home of the ACC Hall of Champions because we have traditionally been the host of the annual ACC basketball tournaments.  The ACC tournaments are somewhat of an obsession here in Greensboro and throughout the south.  The ACC reaches as far north as the Boston University and the University of Maryland all the way down to Florida State and the University of Miami.  On days when Duke plays the University of Carolina a...

I love this quote from Ben Franklin, especially in light of the current real estate market.  Here in Greensboro, NC, it is the best time to buy a home that I have ever witnessed.  Interest rates are incredibly low, prices of homes for sale are also low and inventories are up.  Yet, there are some that are still making excuses for not buying.  Let's just take a quick look at the numbers.  Say you find a 3 bedroom, 2 bath single family home for $100,000.  If you are skeptical that such a home can be found, just give me a call.  One minute ago, I just conducted a quick search of our Multiple Listing Service for all homes priced under $100,000 with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths.  It returned a list of 1,004 homes!  So, buying a home that meets this criteria is very easy to do in Greensboro's ...

Wireless advances could mean no more cell towers. This tidbit from AP would certainly be appreciated by many of us in real estate.  It's not unusual to have a great home your showing, only to have the buyers reject it because it's in close proximity to a cell tower.  They are just plain ugly and some still worry about the health risks being so close to them.  I for one will will be very happy when this new technology arrives and the towers start coming down. From AP: As cell phones have spread, so have large cell towers - those unsightly stalks of steel topped by transmitters and other electronics that sprouted across the country over the last decade. Now the wireless industry is planning a future without them, or at least without many more of them. Instead, it's looking at much small...
