 THERE'S STILL TIME TO SELL YOUR CHARLOTTE REGION HOME THIS FALLCharlotte Region Homes Are Still Selling  If you've been thinking about selling your home in this fall, THERE'S STILL TIME with 39 more days to go in 2023! Average days on market in the Charlotte Region as of October were 32 days. And with the months supply of inventory just 1.8 months, inventory remains tight. With the recent drop in interest rates, buyer loan applications are up, which will put more stress on housing supply. Home sale prices are also "holding their own." Average sale prices year-to-date 2023 are up 3.6% compared with one year ago.  LATEST NEWS ON CHARLOTTE'S BALLANTYNE HOUSING MARKET...WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW... Key take-aways about the Ballantyne area housing market in October 2023 included: Closed home sales increased month over month, but decreased year-over-year. A list to sale price ratio just under 101%. Average days on market of 11 days declined from the previous month and were down year-over-year. Average and median sale prices declined from September and October 2022 Housing inventory up slightly from the previous month, but down from October one year ago. New listings slightly higher (by three homes) compared with September and up compared with October one year ago.  NEW BALLANTYNE AREA HIGH SCHOOL GETS A NAME: BALLANTYNE RIDGE HIGH SCHOOLA new high school is opening in the Ballantyne area in 2024.  The new high school is situated on a 71-acre site in Ballantyne at the corners of Johnston Road and Community House Road. The new high school is expected to relieve over-crowding at Ardrey Kell High School in Ballantyne and South Mecklenburg and Myers Park High Schools in south Charlotte. Construction is 58% complete on the $146 million project.
