Warm Cookies Anyone? Tiff's Treats Opens Store #2 in Uptown How long would you wait for an ooey-gooey chocolate chip cookie? A customer in Arlington, Texas holds the 26-hour record for waiting in line for Tiff’s Treats’ cookies! “I doubt anyone is going to break that here [in Charlotte],” said Leon Chen, Tiff’s Treat’s co-owner,” but it’s so common for people to wait an insane amount of time.” On December 7 - yesterday, Tiff’s Treats opened its second location in Uptown Charlotte! The first location opened in Waverly in August.  Customers may purchase just-baked chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookies – $2 for one dozen — at the grand opening.  Tiff’s keeps the menu simple, offering cookie flavors your mom made wot a flavor a week, a seasonal variety and always chocolate chip & snicker...

AR Heart & Soul - Grant Schneider Visits CharlotteWhat a treat to be able to visit with our own Grant Schneider yesterday as he and his wife, Phyllis visited the Queen City for a personal wedding.Nina Hollander and I were fortunate to have met them both last year at our AR Meet-up in Boston (during NAR) and it was a real treat catching up with them again.  Grant & Phyllis are from Armonk, NY and also own property in Florida so, we’re hoping to see more of them as we are about half-way between their two homes. It was interesting hearing about the hurricane prep work that has to be done on their FL home, while living in NY. I can only imagine the stress that would bring but, Grant seems to take it all in stride.  Of course, it's always great sharing our experiences with other AR members w...

Another Sale in Fifth & Poplar - Uptown Charlotte One of my favorite clients, a referral from another client several years ago, had a hankering for living in our beautiful and vibrant Uptown Charlotte. We spoke at the end of 2018 and she told me that she was so excited about 2019 - thinking of making a lifestyle change from South Charlotte and making Uptown her new home!   Since all of Uptown is not zoned for the same schools, her available condos were limited due to her high school preference. A balcony was a must and it needed to be a larger unit for her family...and of course, for entertaining. This was our 3rd time to work together, buying and selling simultaneously. So, I knew her style, understood her preferences, knew her job demands and knew how she worked through a transaction....

365 Things to Do & Places to Go | Charlotte Knights - BB&T Ballpark In 1987, George Shinn, also the founder of the NBA Charlotte Hornets, bought the minor league team from the Crockett family. Shinn committed to building a permanent home for the team and in 1988, the team, formerly known as the Charlotte Orioles(a 2-A Affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles) was re-named the Charlotte Knights. Crocket Park, with a ‘make-shift’ stadium was soon outgrown and as Shinn affiliated with the Chicago Cubs, a new stadium was in the works.  Fort Mill, SC became home to the Charlotte Knights in 1989 with a brand new 8,000-seat stadium, named Knights Stadium. Before the 1997 season, Shinn sold the Knights to North Carolina businessman Don Beaver, who then affiliated with 3-A Affiliate, Chicago White Sox...
