Whether you find  exceptional character in a loft close to downtown, or discover a high-performance home built to blend with nature and the land , or come upon an outstanding home in one of Asheville’s “upscale “neighborhoods, I have been reviewing here on my blog, you will recognize that very attention to detail . It means this Asheville luxury home will last a very long time. . .such as this elegant home from Asheville’s  Bass and Royster Architects The...

Last night I attended the reading/book signing with Linda Greenlaw. If you haven't heard of her, she is fantastic. She was speaking at Malaprop's Bookstore and Cafe in Downtown Asheville. A sword fisherperson, she has written several books about her adventures. Her latest book, Seaworthy, looks pretty good. I am a few chapters in and hooked. Real life adventures from a real fisherperson, struggling with the challenges and frustrations of fishing in the deep oceans miles from shore, heading a crew. Malaprop's is a great bookstore and they have weekly writers coming in to speak. They have a great cafe. Stop by to check it out. In August Linda Greenlaw will have a special on the Discovery Channel, where a camera crew will follow her in her ship and show you her life on the Sea. Check out L...
