Since its creation in the early 1920s,  Beaver Lake, created by damming Beaver Creek and flooding what had been known as Baird Bottoms, has been one of the special features of this venerable and sustainable  neighborhood.  In 1922, J.D. First created in 1920, Beaver Lake is man-made.   Lakeview Park- North Asheville’s Walkable Neighborhood— where children play, and folks of all ages visit with one another under a canopy of trees, and ride bikes or walk just down the block to enjoy the magic of Beaver Lake. As I wrote yesterday's post about Sweet Rosie Sinead, I imagined where she and her husband might have lived. Where did she sit to watch the children play? And where might they have walked almost every week, throughout the seasons? Immediately I thought of my own neighborhood— Asheville NC Lakeview Park! Homes:  Within view or walking distance of Beaver Lake are homes known for the subtle elegance and nod to nature.  Romance and history are in the air, (see Part 1) so expect to " feel"  the artistic influences. Even residents of other neighborhoods in and around Asheville find themselves drawn to Beaver Lake and the surrounding neighborhood..  Maybe you will see them strolling around the Lake nand-in-hand on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
