I'm not complaining but this has been a non-stop Summer.  I realized recently that I have three full time jobs as Realtor, college student at Rochester College, and mom to kids who are still too young to leave home and eat constantly!  Oh! That's why I feel like this.  Run, run, run.  How will it benefit my readers to know this?  Not sure except that it takes discipline to do all three seamlessly without anyone knowing that it is an extreme effort.  I am told this is normal and will pass.  Well, it takes careful planning, list making, and letting other people help.  The kids will be fine as long as they know you are there.  We have taken short vacations around Michigan and Detroit. Beautiful places like Lake Huron, Lake Michigan, Detroit Institute of the Arts, and so much more.  I do ...

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: BROOKVIEW REALTY opens brand new Rochester Michigan office for business. Rochester, MI 48307 – July 11, 2012 - Increased homes sales are fueling the ope...ning of the new BROOKVIEW REALTY real estate office building in Downtown Rochester, Michigan. The real estate market remains on the rebound and prices continue to rise according to Broker Owner David Elya. David Elya has been a full-time REALTOR® since 1991 and selling homes in Oakland and Macomb County Michigan. "Sales volumes have improved over 2011 and listings prices have increased due to lower interest rates and shortage of inventory," says Elya, "but when a property is priced right, it is not unusual to have multiple offers on it resulting in sales prices landing over asking”. In recent months the lower av...

A slow but continued recovery in the housing market has caused sales of homes and prices to move up in May and June causing a shift from a buyer’s market to a seller’s market. Compared to one year ago, according to RealComp Multilist Service in Farmington, MI, there has been a sharp increase in the median home price. Only one-third of the homes listed are move-in-ready. The other two-thirds are in foreclosure or need repairs due to neglect. Buyers are competing for the quality inventory and attracting multiple bids. Homes often catch prices above the asking price and are selling quickly. Buyers around here are frustrated by the situation because there are not enough homes available. They are sensing that now is a good time to buy because they realize prices will only go up from here. Th...

How to Pick Your Title Insurance & Closing Company in Michigan whether you are a home buyer, selling your home, refinancing your mortgage, and or a Real Estate or Mortgage Professional. Did you know: In the state of Michigan - You have the right to choose your own title insurance and closing company for your home purchase, sale, and mortgage refinance? A lot of people do not know this as their Realtor or Mortgage Loan Officer have never told them. Most of the time I recommend going with who your Realtor and or Mortgage Loan Officer recommend through the process but, if at any moment you do not feel comfortable with the title insurance and closing company or maybe feel like you are being over charged or the most significant one - You know someone working at or owns a title insurance and ...

Posted on June 17, 2012 by marypurcell Reply This Fairy home was difficult to do a competitive analysis on – COMP. There are no others like it in the Rochester area to compare it to. Yes, it is located in a small city with great schools, shopping, cultural events, medical centers, vibrant downtown, but it has no basement or garage. Updates were recently completed. Home was stepped on last week and substantial damage occurred. Lovely view of sparkling puddle. Asking Price: $ Rocks, sticks, leaves, assorted grasses.00 Contact: Mary Purcell “Your Realtor in the Rochester Area” www.purcellrealtyrochester

Have you ever visited the Rochester Paint Creek Center for the Arts on Pine Street in downtown Rochester, Michigan?  There is so much happening there for anyone of any age interested in viewing or creating original art of all different media.  Friday night, June 8, was an "opening" as we call it in the art world.  This is a show in their upstairs gallery of works by students and faculty of Paint Creek Center.  It was well attended by friends, family, and the entire community.  The show was full of paintings, sculpture, photography, and mixed media pieces.  I was so impressed by the quality of the work.  Many of these works were created by people who already have successful careers in other fields. Visit Paint Creek Center for the Arts.  It is a very special place in the heart of downtwo...

Creating Creative Commerce in Construction... As we serve the entire state of Michigan - Our Headquarters is in Downtown Rochester at 414 East Street in Oakland County, Michigan - One of the most beautiful cities in Michigan rich in history, family values, local commerce, and tradition... This has been interupted by the main street makeover - tearing out Main Street entirely putting Downtown at stand still ....well, not really stand still - more like a whirl wind but, that's not always a bad thing and by that I mean - When Construction hands you lemons - You need to make Title Insurance Lemonade and that's just what we did. Our building backs up to the detour where most all of the traffic from main street has now been re-routed for the year so... why not advertise on a street that other...
