9th annual Frosty golf outing was a record-breaker Saturday   Saturday was nearly a perfect day for golf - sunny with a slight breeze from the southwest. 2 other conditions, however, the temperature - it was in the upper 30s, and the season - winter, made the day lacking as ideal for golfing. Still, Saturday was a record day for the 9th annual Frosty Invitational Golf Outing on the 27-hole course set up on the frozen Sand Lake. Competitors hit tennis balls with iron golf clubs. This year, 152 golfers took part in the event, raising $5,400 for Special Olympics Michigan. Last year, a total of 97 golfers played through the 3 9-hole courses and braved a blizzard to raise $4,700. references: john morris, iosco news
